Which body shops did you CT'ers go to to get your work done? Im looking for a good deal, but hearsay is alot better than flipping through the yellow pages. and experiences help alot more than the price!
Thanks guys, everything will be much appreciated!

Heh, Ive been looking for one too....best thing to do is talk to local shop guys see who they recommend, and check out the shops work (any cars they have there). Do not Go To Macco, they are @!#$. in and out @!#$.

Exactally. I'm looking for affordable, but not so affordable that it would sacrifice quality.
Paying good money is worth it for the body, but then again, who would want to overpay?

did something happen to the car or are you looking to get it repainted? whats the deal? The place on the pike next to advanced is a pretty reputable place. They do really good work. Mostly collision stuff tho.

only issue there is that most times mechanics have body guys/painters that they send their way, and the painter/body guys send people right back to the mechanics. so just because one shop says "go here, they're really good and not expensive" its probably because they send each other business as opposed to quality of work
best bet is to find people at car shows or local events who have had work done. good work. peoples previous experience is alot more trust worthy than a randon mechanic
just my $0.02

Very good information, the only problem is i don't attend many car shows, there usually arent many in the general area. the last one i went to was the Connecticut state auto show. Just consider my questioning on this website kinda like a virtual auto show
