Selling the car, what's it worth show quality/magazines/trophies/etc?

Bummrz has me thinking about selling too. Anyhow, how do I find out what my car is worth vs what someone would realistically pay? I know a 98 Cav is only worth about $1500.

The only thing I don't like is the steering wheel, but I love the "not so quite stock, but stock" look.

the car to me would be worth maybe 5k or so if the mechanics of it was all sound and in good condition. (I paid 4 for my '02 with 7xxxx miles and even tho aftermarket isnt really worth anything for resale Id say a solid car with those mods warrants that much).

Nice car.

obviously you'd get more out of it if you parted out, which is sad but true. is there any specific reason you're getting rid of it? if it were me, for the little $$$ you're going to get back, it might just be better to keep it as a toy.

ya id keep it, worse case if u need room, just store it, it'd be a shame to sell such a car, specailly with all the time and effort put into it, that dash honestly i think is amazing, looks stock (which is what i like)

Space is an issue and so is cash. I recently finished college and things are tougher instead of easier.... especially at my age with one last kid on the way. Do you think I can get $3500-$3800 with the stereo removed? I'd like to get $6000 for the whole thing, but I don't think it would happen.

yes its a 98, but it appears to be in immaculate shape. how many miles are on it? As long as its mechanically in good condition i could see you getting 5-6k for it..

I did everything you see inside and out. The big trophies are from Steel Valley MidWest Regionals. The biggest one is for top 20 sounding vehicle in the nation from 2002. Odd how people constantly flamed my car and my dash until I try to sell it, now I hear positive comments from other people.

Stick it on Ebay, people pay stupid money for some of the most stupid things. I am not saying your car is stupid, but saying Ebay might get what ya want out of it.
List the car, lots of pics and put a reserve on it. Set the bidding at say 2500.00 and see what it goes to. You might be surprised. Good luck with the sale.

I only go to sound offs, regular car shows everyone dogs it for being a Cavalier....

Arrival, how did you advertise your car when you sold it? I bought a space in the Autotrader and listed it locally. Neither ad will show until the week after next.

Well, listing it locally did me no good. Neither did wasting $40 on the Autotrader. I haven't had one call. I put it on eBay for $3.30 fee and so far have 316 hits in a days time. I'm sure some NSX forum is making fun of it right now.

how did you do that? when i listed my drop top on there it was a $50 fee to list and another $50 when it sold. did you not list it right or did you just find a day they were having a super sale?

coming back in 2008...
