Cav for Fire Front
Tuesday, October 16, 2007 7:15 AM
I have a 02 Cav front end and im wondering if anyone with a 95-99 fire front end would want to swap... (possibly an 03-05 cav). i have the LS so its the base style front bumper and my headlights are painted black w/ black corners. Just curious what the interest would be.... I live in NH.

Fenders/Hood are in great condition. Front bumper has 3 holes where the license plate was on the front grill and on the passenger side it has a scratch/groove but it could all be easily fixed especially since paint would be needed to match other car. Or if being replaced for an after market bumper - wouldn't have to worry about it...

Ill throw in my cav trunk with stock wing/inner taiils for 50$ if someone would want that as well (if they have a sedan). Other wise it is still for sale and ill let it go for 80$ with inner tails (without the front end trade).

and the trunk...

I like what that tubing stuff makes the car do!

thanks but i don't think it looks mean enough though - hence why i need a fire front.. and to put evil eyes on it... i think it will compliment it much more. i visualize the car being mean now that its turboed so i really need that fire front! lol.

heres a better view of the upper tubing stuff and some!

If you find the parts you need, and still have your parts Id be interested if you wanted to sell them. I realy want black headlights/corners, and a base cause ill prolly ditch my fogs for my intercooler piping. Plus yours is indigo so I wouldnt even need paint.

I will take pics when i get a chance. The only problem with the front end is my drivers side fender
has a dent but will probably push right out. IM just to lazy to take out the fender liner.

If u wanna do it, its here for ya, doesnt matter either way to me, the cav is my third car and i could really care
less about it, so just let me know.

You say you live in NH? There are quite a few junkyards around that have 'fire stuff and I only go to cheap ones lol. You could get the whole front end for well under $200 I would say. I have a hellfire front and headlights, I could easily get some fenders and a hood. Im looking for some OEM '03+ headlights. Maybe there is some way to work something out? Just throwing it out there.

nasty04cav - i will still keep it in mind. I do want to see some pics still when you get a chance - no rush though. Like i said im really leaning towards getting a fire front but i still may be interested.

streetantiz24 - I guess because my motor is my priority Im trying not to spend any (much) money on the exterior, as I really don't have any spare money right now anyways. Thats why I wanted to put this out there to see if anyone actually did want to do an even swap.

But If i understand right, you are looking to get rid of your fire front end? And you need 03+ (fire or cav?) headlights? I am deffinatly interested in working something out with you... Do you only need the headlights? Do you have pics of the parts you have?

Ill try a little clearer- I HAVE sunfire headlights and the hellfire bumper. Im quite certain I can get 'fire fenders and a hood (and a stock bumper if u prefer over the hellfire...). I am looking to get '03 parts as my stuff burned in a garage fire. Maybe you could trade your lights, hood, and bumper for his '03 stuff and then I can trade you a 'fire front end (maybe add a little $$ too?) for said '03 parts.

ps- you guys wouldnt have to switch fenders, just the headlight brackets. Its real simple.

Like I said before, Im just throwing some ideas around so let me know.

irssunsittinlow - is your registry correct? im looking for someone more local than Ohio but if its incorrect im deffinatly interested.

Streetantix- as long as nasty04cav would be okay with that thats certainly a possibility... not 100% sure about the hellfire front... i dont have skirts or a rear and i was leaning away from putting a kit on it for quite awhile... im kinda interested in the 95-99 fire gt fronts more so.. and if you were able to switch a whole front i wouldn't ask you to give me any money. i think a front end for a front end is fair.

OK well if I were to go get a sunfire hood and fenders I could grab the oem bumper too, no problem. just telling what I had.

awesome we'll deffinatly have to keep in touch about this. what i say is if nasty04cav is cool with it the 3 of us can meet up and do the swaps at the same time? that would be awesome... and if your going to the yard to get the fenders, i don't care if they are scratched as long as they don't have rust or major dents if thats cool with you and don't mind. Will deffinatly be a random swap if we do this haha thrown front ends around

Ok that sounds good on my end as well. Also as far as OEM bumper, lol wow i dont want to sound picky but 95-99 lol im not a fan of the 00-02. And if you can get the GT all the better. But i dont want you to go overly out of your way at all.

i might possibly be willin to trade you in a few weeks. I'm looking at a 96 cavi with base grey ugly bumpers so if i get the cavi i'll trade you my sunfire headlights, stock bumper, turns, and a hood ( i can get fenders too) for your stuff.
