I've got some money to spend and need a new hood. Prefer SS hood, but at this point I will consider any other hood you have available.

hood is in primer, has mr gasket lockin hood pins on it and also the hydraulic hood struts included im in NJ at 07657 make an offer if interested

you cant see any of the small cracks unless your up close. only thing noticeable, which cant be seen in the pics is the stone chip on the passenger very front by the headlight.
im asking 300 for the hood which is what has been offered to me before. i think its a reasonable amount.

ahhh i dont think i could afford painting the hood... i just got the whole car painted... that killed me but i would LOVE to have en evo hood or an extractor.
they quoted me 200 to paint a hood earlier today. so idk if i could swing that... or ill never have my wheels

no clear coat fade, but a rock chip froma dump truck and a few small cracks around the big middle vent in the divider since thats a weak part of the hood, nothing big and you cant see them unless your right up on it. no hood pins either, never needed them in the 2+ years ive had the hood, does excellent
THe crack on the hood will grow If it is a carbon fiber hood that is made by vis. The hood also fades after 15 months. I would suggest reclearing of carbon fiber hood just like what i did on my 2nd vis hood.

it shouldnt fade if its maintained well. if you wax it a couple times a year, it should be fine. most even vis use a uvc clear to help protect the hood from fading.
about the crack, i do agree the crack will grow but if its a very small chip, it will take a long time to grow
ive had the hood for 28 months at it hasnt faded at all. i waxed the hood at least once a month and have clay barred it many times.. the cracks are clear coat cracks and have had them on the hood for about a year and they havent grown one bit
how would one go about filling in cracks or stopping them from cracking further?
im no body expert... but i would of course look into "fixing" the small damage eventually...
i probably wax my car a little to much, but im mostly around the beach, so i justify it thanks to the salt spray... usually my car gets waxed every month, maybe twice in a month... and then i dont wax it from like november to february unless i have perfect weather and need too...
how about continuing this outside of my thread so i can get a goddam hood?
