Keep your eyes peeled for a ...

Hey guys. I'm looking to buy another J. I want an ecotec with manual transmission, must have less than 50k miles, and i would prefer a coupe. LS sport would be great, but not necessary. Other than that, color preferences are black, blue, red, white, silver, orange - basically anything but the dark green or tan.

I'm located very close to Reading, PA. If you happen to see something in Berks, Lehigh, Montgomery, Lancaster, or Schukyl counties, hit me up! If this is a car you've seen personally, feel free to include your opinions on the condition and price. I don't minde buying a modified cav - I dont want a hack job or some imcomplete work, and no flashy body kits, I'm kinda looking for a clean slate. I/H/E and quality suspension mods are OK.

I've been looking long and hard, but I just refuse to overpay for a Jbody (see my post in the general forum)

auto trader man

I have seen 2002-2004 LS Sports goign for 6-8k, and you could talk them down at least 1 grand, I know I used to sell cars and used cars are where people make the most money

I had a look at auto trader dot com, and i got a decent amount of hits, about three quarters are either not manual transmission or not ecotec. Also the prices on there seem to suggest 11-13k for an LS sport below 50k miles. There is a very nice looking 2005 sunburst orange LS sport coupe with 33k miles in pottstown for 13k, all options. I love that color! I would probably pay as high as 10k dollars for a car like that.

I'll keep checking it along with my other dealer favs.

check the scranton, pa area. i was there a month ago just walkin around and there are a ton of car dealerships and used car places and i saw a LOT of cavs. i know there were at least a few eco manuals but i didn't get prices or mileage since i'm not in the financial state to be looking for any vehicle right now.

I'm acutally probably going to swap my B&G/koni set up with the sportline's on the car now...my suspension is still as tight and solid as the day i got the car. Add the addco sway bars from my car, some 17" TC rims and a decent tire, shake well, and have fun in the twisties.

Overall vison for the car at this point in time: poly motor mounts (included with the car), PLX wideband/boost and EGT sensors and guages, P&P head (patriot or otherwise), triflow cams, 3" header back exhaust, gmpp supercharger, HPT. Spec clutch and flywheel when the stockers wear.

Exterior will stay clean. I'll keep an eye out for silver side skirts, pretty much whatever anyone is selling, and maybe a CF hood, but other than that I'm happy with it.
