Hey all..
I need to get a half decent tune on my car before May 5th comes around.
I have a wedding to goto on the 5th of May, and I'd like to take my cav.. My other car is a piece.
Just a summary..
97 2.4 Cav auto. t3 super 60 intercooled, 2" charge pipes, ford browntop injectors, heated primary 02, 02 simulator for 2nd one, EGR disabled. Innovative wideband, forged pistons- .20" over, forged rods, 2.5" exhaust.. cometic MLS headgasket and a few other things..
I have HPTuners software & a computer to use.. Ive played with it a little bit, and the car runs okay.. But under heavy throttle, it runs a little rich and it has trouble idling upon first start up.... I have to blip the throttle every few seconds to keep it at a resonable number until it warms up & I can drive it.... When i first drive it, it goes into the 9's with ANY gas, but then it catches itself and idles right at 14.7. Its wierd.. I was thinking it had something to do w/ open loop mode or whatever- but I really don't know..
I do not have the advanced version of HPTuners- just the cheaper one.. I fully plan on investing some time into the program and learning how to actually tune the car myself, but I don't really understand the info I read on Hptuners forums, and I need someone that knows.
Im looking for someone to come down to Chester, PA 19013 to my garage and help me tune my car.
I'm not looking for a perfect tune- just something safe that I can cruise on for a day or 2 and maybe get on a little bit..
I will provide food, beer, shelter blah blah...
I am willing to reimburse someone for any expenses they may occur for thier travels and some extra bucks for helping me out..
I work full time- but I am available on the weekends. I have a different wedding this saturday (14th) to goto, but any other weekend day would work just fine.
LOL !!
No takers? haha... I don't blame ya !!
I may be able to help but not having the version which lets you plug in the wideband really makes it way tougher

Yeah...
I planned on getting the updated version- but when I ordered it, I didn't realize it would be an additional $300 to upgrade..
I remember reading that it would be a little more expensive- not double though...
I dont have a problem with putting out the cash to get the better version, but I wonder if I could get it done in a few weeks..
I can prob get you driveable or at least show you some things with the program, im about 90 miles from philly, im tuning another car on sunday and ill be out of state next weekend so it would prob be like 2 weeks till i could get out there
