i just got a repair order for my exhuast (which isnt even that loud) and my tires being bald. my tires arent bald though, only the outer edge from going around turns a lil fast with my tiens. Is there anyone out there that knows someone who can help sign them off or something? id be willing to pay?
exhaust, get it fixed. tires, they dont measure tread form the outside, they measure it from the middle of the tire, get new tires.

ive seen a 3.85 and a 3.95 silencer. which one would make it uite enough to pass the stupid inspection? anyone?
id rather just give someone some money to write it off though if anyone knows somebody* hint.

silencer really work?
silencers really quiet down the exhaust but they also rob you of a good bit of power. It should be enough to get you thru essentially they take a large exhaust outlet and turn it into a small one, so If you put it into a 3 inch outlet you'd be turning it into a 1 inch outlet.
For the record I've never had tires go bald on the outside edge even my autox tires. Have you measured the tread depth?
Your asking to skirt around the law with bald tires which is a hazard to everyones safety. The majority of force on the tire is on the outside edge so if theres a failure thats where it will happen. The exhaust is probaably fine but no one is gonna write you off for bald tires because if anything happens then there shop is in trouble.

if its bad enough where you are getting a repair order for the tires, its time for new tires. as iamrascal said its unsafe to ride around like that, because of the force which is applied to the side walls during cornering. it will cause a problem. as for the exhaust, you said you have a 4" tip. is it like a coffe can style muffler, or is it a more stock shaped muffler(oval)? because if its an oval muffler i dunno if you can find a silencer, but if its a round style muffler then silencers are a dime a dozen. for a round muffler you will need a silencer with the same outside diameter as your tip's inside diameter. it will quiet it down, and it will be removable, so if you get cited, or a repair order for a loud exhaust all you need to do is pop the silencer in when your court date comes up, or if you need to get it inspected, so that the exhaust wont be too loud, and then pop it out when ur done.
ive stated this twice! the tires are not bald. ive already been told my tires are fine. only the outside is slightly bald. and becuase the car is lowered the cop didnt bother to bend over to see the rest of the tire had enough tread.
i think im going with the silencer then after is inspected just pop it off. how much would a resonator quiet it down? enough?
If one part of the tire doesn't pass, then the whole tire typically doesn't pass. That's what I've seen working at a car dealer. Good luck.
