Next week March 13-15 I have to g to New Cumberland PA for training (work related).
According to mapquest its a 1:35 drive from Baltimore. So Im trying to decide if I wanna commute that for the three days or just stay overnight once I get there.
My question is? Is there any thing up there, if I stay??? If not whats close?
Any help PA people?

I'm about 45 min. away & never had a reason to go there. It is however near Harrisburg, so if you're looking for stuff to do, look there. I like Harrisburg for the restaurants (2nd street) and Imax movies (at the Whitaker Center). There's a baseball team, but it's too early to catch a game now. There are a few malls, but nothing to write home about.
There's not much IN New Cumberland from what I remember, but it's literally like... right under Harrisburg, and there's more to do there.
You'll be passing me on the way up... you should stop in and say hi!!! lol
where u going for training I used to work in new cumberland but moved to a place about 15 min from there. like they said harrisburg or mechanicsburg not much in new cumberland it self but lots to do with in 15 min of it.
Thanx everyone..it looks like I will be staying for the three days so hopefully I wont go nuts. As long as theres a movie theatre near and some decent eatng spots I should be ok I guess.

You should!!!!!!!! most definately lol. Haven't seen you in forever!!!
yea i live right by there, there is actually a cheap theater in town right on bridge st. its like $3 a movie! hit me up if your bored
Have fun, great restaurants! My fiance & I really liked Molly Brannigans, beautiful and tasty spot to eat! I'd advise to avoid The Quarter - it looks awesome, but we both got pretty sick from their food before we could even make the drive home

If it's not too cold, take a walk across the Walnut Street foot bridge (from the East shore) to City Island, it's a good way to kill some time. There's nothing to really do out there at this time of year, but I still wouldn't mind doing it. The days don't work out, but if I was free, I'd come out to meet you for a meal!
