Ok looks like I'm out for November too. I know I'm busy on the 18th which is normally the weekend of the meets. And the 25th I have a day time engagement not sure how the night will be.

BTW wish me luck I'm working on some negotiations with Saturn to trade in my cavy for one of these:

Not sure if it will actually happen, but if it does it is just too sexy to pass up.

OK I know that most of you will laugh at this but here is why I will not own a Sky:

1) GM is @!#$ retarded and feels that adding an in-dash navigation unit is pointless when you can pay for on-star navigation. This is my big reason.

2) Over $30K for a 4 cyl car that only runs high 13's? For this price I could go get an EVO or STi that will handle turns just as well and walk me from any speed. And now I read articles that they might be looking into replaceing the 2.0 VVT Turbo with a V6? God I hope this is fake news because that is just retarded. Leave it to an american company to just try and shoe horn the largest motor possible into a car and not worry about fuel economy, weight distribution, or efficiency.

3) The car is only available through custom order. Unless if somebody else custom orders it then decides they don't want it will you be able to purchase one right then and there. Which also means they don't have any available for a test drive so how am I to know if I am going to like this car that would cost me nearly $500 a month for the next 7 years. And to make it better they are saying it is about 6 months before the car even gets here after placing my order.

4) Finally there are no promotions on this car what so ever. Not even a promotional interest rate. You would think that if you have a car that is trying to compete against other roadsters you would want some kind of incentive for a person to buy your car, especially with it being new on the market, and them not being able to test drive it. The only thing I am seeing is that people are ordering the base model and when it gets in, they cancel the order because either they went and bought a different car or because they weren't as impressed by it when it showed up.

Don't get me wrong it is a sharp looking car, and I would have loved to stay in the ECOTEC/GM family but where are their heads when they design these things? I guess back to saving up for a BMW again.

Im assuming your talking about a sky redline?

But that is pretty weird that you have to order them without driving. That doesnt make much sense ... ide say for the bimmer Festa. The ladies will love you .

i read DJ, but i don't post, or associate anymore. it just causes too many problems, as we've all seen. i did have fun with you guys, and still talk to most of you on the side anyway. my cars been making me mad anyway, i've pretty much given up on modding it, and just decided that i'm lucky i only pay 200 a month for the piece. it was fun while it lasted i guess. talk to you guys whenever =]

if my parts come in by the time the meet rolls around i'll swing out. I'm looking at about 2 more weeks downtime at the least. Patriot takes a long time to ship.

thinking about doing some other stuff to the car in the meantime and hopefully get some more runs in before the end of the year, but it's coming down to the wire

frankly tho, I think the Js are dead

everyone's either lost interest, sold their car, or have fought with other members (myself included).

The comradery is gone.
I guess that's inevitable when you have a group of people together who all have different goals.

wrong outlook to take PJ we aren't dead its November remember how few members show up this time of year.

Things change but thats to be expected The Jersey J's aren't cars they are people. The meets are a gathering of friends not cars, we just built friendships because of the cars.

Just wait for warmer weather to come around again we will have those huge meets again its inevitable. We just have to make it through the downtime of the off season. We've done it before we'll do it again.
