I'm currently attendending Hofstra University and i'm itching to race on the weekends.....anyone know of any tracks on the island close to me?
yea but that doesnt help me find ones on long island.....i have to ween thorugh the cities just to find out how close they are....none of them seem to be close to long island

yea but getting off long island takes forever, i'll look into it though.......mapquest cant find it in english town but says its 48 miles and 1.5 hours away....might be up for it

well i just checked out the track tim, i am REQUIRED to wear a helmet. At 18.1 i could @!#$in walk faster than that. I havent even tried racing with my 18's yet....lol

your @ hofstra huh? thats not far from me! there are NO drag tracks on long island. the clostest ones are atco and e-town in jersey. its not far, about 2 hours drive. if you wanna chill with car enthusiasts, hit up route 231 aka deer park ave, in the areas between the expressway and the southern state. plenty of nice cars make laps around there racing...but cops are known to be around too...so ya gotta be careful. gimme a shout if you wanna hang, i was gonna go hang with the cobalt group friday night there.

shame theres no drag tracks... wanna race, but 2 hours is a little much....i might as well go home at that point...lol
while we're on whats on long island, any dirt oval tracks? like one that 358's 410's etc would run on?

the only racing track of any kind is riverhead raceway. its mostly used for endura-races during the summer. nothing else here...although there are many rumors of brookhaven township by me building a drag track to combat street racing...im keeping my eyes and ears peeled for more news on that.

there was an asphault track i came across. i think it was called riverhead
