PA Lift Laws
Thursday, August 10, 2006 7:32 PM
That's right I said Lift Laws. I know allot of ppl have the links to all the pa inspection codes. I just wanted to double check on there specs. I found them on www.roughcountry.com and it reads Medium to Heavy Duty trucks. It doesn't say anything about Compact Trucks and SUV's. So Just looking to find out what is legal and isn't legal before i get busy working on my other project. Thanks in advance

just look up and find how high your headlights have to be off the ground. they usually give you a range where it has to stay at. if you go over the height, your to high

I think in PA they measure it by how far your bumper is off the ground. That's why you see a bunch of lifted trucks with those huge bumpers. I could be wrong on this though.

Contact my brother at uhittheuglytree@hotmail.com He has a truck and was looking into lifting so he may be able to help you out better than I can.

Alright thanks. I know like I said on the site I listed it said something about bumpers on medium and heavy duty trucks. But Nothing about SUV's and light duty trucks.

Was figuring someone had the vehicle laws in there favorites and would throw the link up about.

Thanks for the help tho.

the bumper cant be over 36 inches high off the ground, my friend just put a ten inch lift on his ram 1500 with 42 inch swampers, and i guess he JUST made 36.

he was told by a middleburg cop that he's friends with. he said most cops wont bother him unless they're in a pissy mood, but he would pass anyways (for being lifted that is)
