I went with my friend to a shop up in Baltimore. I don't know the exact area, but while our driving we came upon a red vert Sunfire with a bunch of kids in it. He tried to race me, then my friend. He ended up getting behind me then at the next break in traffic in the other lane tried the same thing again. When we didn't try to race him he almost ran my friend off the road while him and his friends laughed and screamed. If this kid is on here I just want to let him know that wasn't cool and you better start watching what your doing before you 1. mess with the wrong person 2. get caught by the cops or 3. kill someone.

i have this very problem here in buffalo, just because we drive "tuner cars" or what ever you'd like to call it does not mean we are dumb and would like to race. Props to you for being responsible and not racing, my hat comes off to you
Thanks, yeah we both have highly modified show cars so we aren't about stupid stuff like that anyway. I wouldn't have said anything if he didn't try to basically run my friend off the road. Lucky my friend was paying alot of attention and he had a rather large shoulder to move onto. I'm not saying I'm the perfect driver, but I would never try to race someone on a busy road nor try to recklessly run them off the road for not choosing to be as stupid. Hes lucky he didn't end up in the Jersey wall that was next to him also!!!
honestly, js are a dime a dozen up here...so it could have been anyone.

Oh I don't care about finding them.....just a chance they might be on here and hopefully get a small hint they shouldn't mess with people. Also kinda gives those on here with any type of modified car in the area a heads up on an idiot. Personally I'm one that everyone will get theirs....he'll learn one way or another, just hoping he doesn't hurt or kill someone in the process!

Kim, I wouldn't be surprised if its a group from Frederick. There is quite a few Js running around up there and I know that they are into street racing, especially in the Rt. 40 area.
Just watch out and not to be a stick in the mud, but grab your cell and call the police. I would rather be a snitch then to let someone innocent get hurt, let alone yourself/your passengers.

Thers alot of J's in B-more along with the Hondas and toyotas and there are too many punk kids that drive them...... if u dont race they get mad and try to hit you or run u off the road... On ritchie hwy a kid in a old school blazer tryied to race me... i gave it to him but stopped after 1st gear he was embarraded and hit my car with a beer bottle... long story short the kid ran along the side of my car and ripped my door off.... Now i just hang out in the slow lane

i agree with kim ppl like that give us tuner ppl a badd rep now basically ne one up here with a body kit n rims gets pulled over for sum stupid reason b/c of kids racing thier tuners it's just ignorant n stupid u wanna race take it to the track most of us on here have a lot of cash invested into our cars n i'll be damned if sumoen ttried to side swipe me or throw a beer bottle @ my car id be runnin him down n beating the hell outta him with a base ball bat what goes around comes around

they dont just pull you over for bodykit and wheels.... thats BS.
you get pulled over because
1) car exhaust is too loud
2) car is too low
3) you did something wrong.
if someone pulled you over, simply because of a body kit and wheels, then you wouldnt be complaining, cause you can sue for harassment.
sure the extra stuff will draw attention, but they just look for you to do something wrong, and when you do that one thing wrong they pull you over.
if you keep your car within specs of the rules and regulations, then you wont have any problems.
problem is, the majority of people sport the "i dont care" 'tude, but when caught they blame it on "oh i had a body kit, which is bullsh.....
im talking about me getting pulled over on the highway for my muffler n the cop writing a depostion of NO MUFFLER/ INADAQUET EXHAUST /OVERSIZED MUFFLER keep in mind i was on the highway n the fact i get pulled over by another police man for the same thing but god forbid they don't pull over the kid with an acura integra running around @ 9pm with no headlights on or a mustang with his underglow on or the kid that went flying by me on the high way just b4 i get pulled over doing about 95 their speciffically targeting tuners around here n here's the reason n im quoting a local police officer on this one " those muffler's are a pet peeve of mine " meaning ne kind of preformance muffler on tuners

9 times outta 10, it probably WAS inadequate. mufflers are there to quiet exhaust, hence the base term MUFFLE, which means to keep quiet...
however most people add em to put out MORE NOISE.
perhaps if you werent so loud, and been a bit more STEALTH like the others, you wouldnt have been caught. having a loud muffler and a relatively slow car is like an elephant with loud speakers blaring NWA with ice cube riddin the thing in the middle of a gated community of rich people..., you want attention, you will get it...
the reason they target "tuners" if you wanna call em that, cause adding mufflers and bodykits isnt really tuning a damn thing..... is because 90% or more of the people who add stuff to their car, make the car louder than it really needs to be.
no cop will pull you over and then leave you just because someone else did something wrong.... unless what they did was WAY wrong as in an accident.
like said before, if you have your car within spec, which obviously yours wasnt, then you have nothing to worry about. theres plenty of people with large greddy canister style mufflers, but never get pulled over.
WHY? cause their car isnt making the noise that should come from a car that has 500hp, but only is stock with 130.....
true but now i found out art that NYS is cracking down & specifically targeting the import /sport compacts with aftermarket exhausts granted i didn't know what i was doing when i first started in the s/c scene n put a 3ARacing fart cannon on my sunfire but now that im getting a z24 im am going to go more stealth with the exhaust like a pacesetter header high flow cat n a magnaflow muffler with a chrome 3" max tip just want that tuned sound but not extreamly loud as u would get by just slapping a fart cannon on but the ticket did help me out to mod my car i now know what i can & can't get away with
