cops have told me numorous times that if they can clearly see into the vehicle at any time of the day, they dont care.

it's all up to the cops. my suggestion is go very light, it looks better that way anyways.

the guy that's going to tint them for me said 35 is ok for the front 2windows and anything below that is alright on the back ones, and the guys at the inspection station said they haven't heard anything about there being any laws about it...

well you asked, i responded with my personal experiences with the police, i thought thats what you wanted.

and i honestly would not put anything darker than 15%, not only for cops sake, but because its safer too, i have 5% tint and i back into things sometimes cuz i cant see out at night.

do what you want though, but dont be upset if you get in trouble.

definately would go lighter....And most Inspection stations don't know all the laws reguarding vehicle applications. I think is the word I'm looking for. all most of them are worried about is brakes, tail lights, exhaust if you need exhaust checks done, headlights and turn signals.

Just to let everyone know. The window tint law in PA was just revised about a month and a half ago... I will try to find out for sure what exact specs are... but a friend tints windows for a living and he was just telling me about it last week!! I know it gives an exact percentage....I'll find out for sure and update everyone!

this should be locked, theres no definate answer. PERIOD. the law isnt even clear. i have double 20 on the rear three windows, and the cop who pulled me over had no problem with them, he made me take the 20% off the front windows on the spot though. just my experience, ive been pulled over 4 times since then, and noone cares aboutt eh back windows.

New York law isn't the same as Pennsylvania law.

I was talking to a state police just tonight about it and he was like most of the time and i quote him " we don't care about that mainly speeding and some other violations if any" and " we have a meter to test the windows but I don't even know how to use and we don't even bother to take it with us" The guy was pretty cool. he says most of the time state police don't care. but you will have more of a hassle with locals than state police. But could also depend on your area. he was like most of the time town cops don't have jack to do but be D***'s about stupid things.

thats the same thing i was told, there are some cool local cops though, the one local usually stops by our saturday night meets to hang out and talk and he answers all the questions we have about tint, windshield banners, LEDs, underbody lights, ect. - most stuff kids dont know about being legal and what not, he answers them all and looks around at the cars and stuff and comments, it totally changed my mind about police

good cops and bad cops, i guess that has some meaning to it, they're not ALL dickfaces

well i go through a little town on my way to work every night and the cops pulled my dad and my neighbor over for doing like 4 miles over the speed limit, but everyone says as long as i do the speed limit through there(which i do) i should be alright, because a lot of the younger people i work with haven't gotten pulled over yet around there...
