Attn: NY drivers visiting the great state of NJ!
Tuesday, July 25, 2006 2:25 AM
Please, get the bloody hell out of the left lane of I-195 unless you are FREAKING PASSING SOMEONE!!! This is directed at ALL of you little benny bastards leaving 6 flags and heading for the turnpike... On the same note, can we please either find the cruise control button or just learn how to maintain a constant speed? I have to drive to work at 10pm every night through a sea of NY plates that are doing 55 in the left lane of a 65 mph road. We appreciate your tourism but please some of us out there on the highways ARE NOT on vacation and would like to be able to get to work on time without fighting through your hordes. Thank you!

PS- Just blowing off some steam, no one get your panties in a bunch

it only smells like that near the bridges and airports to try and scare you NYers away... we didn't think it would work like moths to a flame

people effing blow at driving, it's not just new york drivers. Though I see a a**load of this crap every day on my drives in the interstate. There's morons in the left lane doing 55 in a 65. Everyone does at least 70. Then when you resort to using the god damn right lane to pass them, they speed up! It's frustrating, I know, but unfortunately there really isn't anything we can do about it.

I love you for that. That happens all the @!#$ time. I am going to put a sign on my car that sais "Use the right lane if i'm tail gating."

dude NJ drivers are the worst and NY drivers arent far behind. i live in PA and have to deal with retarded NJ and NY drivers not knowing where the hell there going, making right turns from the far left lane with turn signal at the very last second possible. even most PA drivers are like this. it doenst matter where you go. everyone rides the left lane like a $2 whore. the rule of the highway are very simple. the far left lane is for passing, the middle lane is for driving the posted S.L. and the right lane is for everyone else. if your on a 2 lane highway, the left lane is for passing and the right lane is for everyone else.

if your worried about gas mileage instead of being in the left lane going just as fast as car in the right lane. get behind it and draft it.

NJ smells bad every where. not just at bridges and airports. this raises a questions. how can a state that exports all its waste smell so bad?

yeah i've adopted the severe tailgate technique like Dr. Paul... crazy thing is, sometimes it still doesn't work. If I'm in the left lane and some dude is on my ass, I move, if for nothing else than concern for my own safety, much less the common courtesy of not being in the left lane when i'm not passing.

AAll though i agree that no matter what state your in, your going to encounter bad drivers, Id rather deal with NJ drivers than PA drivers. I work about 5 minutes from the PA border and i have lived along it most of my life....biggest @!#$ idiots iv ever seen. NY and NJ drivers may be ass hole drivers, but at least they can handle the damn car. I don't think some of the PA drivers know the difference between there gear shift and there turn signal.

and Scarab your one of the few who does that. Most people will block the lanes....and when you ride there ass they just slow down more...ts like people don't have any common sense\Courtesy anymore

I saw a IL Semi Truck the other day and it had a huge arrow and said

Passing Suicide
Side
<===== =======>

Yeah, i followed him for 10 miles as he blocks the left lane....ass hole

Basically what it comes down to is when you are driving around people that are not in their own environment everyone sucks. My personal experience is that you run into the central/north and NYC drivers who are mostly used to living a high paced life and even though we all piss each other off because nobody is fast enough life is good because we are ready for it and expect it. But when you start to include the "southern" so called style of driving where people are casual and slow and couldn't pour piss out of a boot with directions on the bottom is when we all get pissed off. Here is a lesson to all visitors in NJ:

1. If you are visiting keep in mind that all locals use the left lane, stay out of it if you don't want to get bitched at. Left lane is local lane right lane is visitor lane.

2. If you are visiting and don't know where you are going for god sakes please pull over to read your map. Nothing scares me more than seeing this map spread out in front of you while you attempt to hold straight. (now this is from my motorcycle riding that the comment is made)

3. The speed limit is not a limit of how fast you can go it is the limit of how slow you can go. Stop impeeding the flow of traffic.

4. I know your car is much faster than you are proving it to be. That long sliver of a peddle on the right is what helps you go. You paid for that gas USE IT!

5. Thanks for visiting and giving us your money. We promise to spend it on more garbage that we will export to you later . And if you don't like the way our state smells don't visit. Personally I think it smells fresh and clean As long as you aren't around the dump areas.

it basically comes down to the fact that 1/2 the people out there on roads like the turnpike, and the parkway dont know what theyre doing. and yes, NJ has some of the worst drivers in the country... why? because our driver's road test is the easiest thing on the freakin planet. why is it so easy? because we have so many freakin people, that if they were to fail half the people that should be failed they'd be EXTREMELY overpopulated on public transportation. and NY isn't too much further off. its not fair to say that all drivers from this area are bad, but its a pretty freakin good percent. and living where i do, i get both nj, and ny drivers around my area, and basically, we're all the same. when youre good youre good, but when youre bad, youre really, REALLY @!#$in bad... its obvious to me that everyone in here has some common sense when it comes to driving, and i think its ridiculous that people with common sense like this have to put up with the people who do 55 or slower in the FREAKIN LEFT LANE... no matter where you go, if youre not passing someone, you stay out of the left lane... when im not passing what am i doing... im driving with the flow of traffic, and if i can be, im in the middle lane... but most of the time on like the turnpike im passing those who feel the need to go slower than the best flow of traffic. if need be i will never hessitate to hop in the right lane, if its open. but i will never, and i mean never purposely cut someone off just to get into the faster flow. i sit in frustration until i get an opening... but lets face it... anywhere you go, the # of bad drivers always outweighs the number of good ones. doesnt matter where you live... its just people in our area are living much more fast paced than most of the rest of the country is. and unfortunately thats just how it is. and yes, upper central and up to like the middle of the northern part of NJ smells pretty bad along the turnpike. its all those oil refineries and chemical plants, and the fact that there used to be an agent orange plant around there, and all the garbage and stuff around the medowlands. it just smells. plain and simple. but its not like new york is the least stinky of places either. ooo and one more thing. about the whole "nj drivers are cocksuckers" and such with the lights. it happens everywhere. and basically it happens because the person getting honked at needs to get a clue before they start their car. or they just were obviously not paying attention and missed the change in the light... and like i said. its fast paced around the tri state area. people are always in a hurry.

damn dude, seriously, I don't know why they bother goin there, my guess is they are tired of goin to connecticut for six flags. Cause they picked up the stupid driving habits from connecticut drivers and are now bringing it back to ny with them and on to nj! Its a disease that was started in CT!!!! I swear!!!!!
