Anyone in New York do bodywork?
Thursday, June 01, 2006 7:55 PM
Hey. I would like to begin prepping my car for paint. I need to repair the dents, scratches, and rust as well as sand it down. I'm in Rochester and was just wondering if anyone relatively close would kinda help me out getting started. Or if anyone can recommend the best way to learn these skills. I was debating taking a class at boces, but I'm not really sure if it would be worth the money or not. Let me know. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for posting that, but it isn't exacly what In was looking for. I have actually read it before, but what I am looking for are suggestions on the best route to take in learning how to do bodywork. I am not talking about becoming a professional, but I would like to learn.

I dont know about the Boces up your way, but our had the best of the best when it came to equipment, and the teacher actually lives in rochester and owns one of the bigger body shops up there(ill have to look up the name). Most of the kids that come out of it are excellent with body work.
