I am selling a ho-made false trunk floor that was pulled from a 99 Cavi coupe, but should fit in some other year j-bodies... I want to get this out of my garage. Here's some info:
Details on floor:
-- built-in sub box
-- spare tire (donut) holding area MUST BE MODIFIED for this to fit!! You'll have to cut a hole in the bottom of the sub box, or cut out the OEM spare tire holder (previous owner of my car cut out the spare tire holder)
-- rear seat will have to be removed
-- VERY tight fit (I had a heck of a time removing it), and not a perfect shape by any means
-- cut from 5/8" heavy plywood
-- box is sitting very high (in pix below) as the floor is laying on a few 2x4s. The box would actually protrude from the floor roughly 4 inches.
-- no hardware included, just wood
-- Pix 1 & 2 are trunk view, #3 is driver's view
Details on sub:
-- Kenwood KFC-W3085 12" subwoofer (8-ohm imped, 700W peak power)
-- hardly noticeable, thin crack (approx. 1" long) at bottom of cone (can this be glued???)
-- small cut in cone ring (soft outer ring that holds cone to metal support)
-- light blemishes at bottom of cone
-- I don't know how/where damage occured as it came that way when I purchased the car
NOTE: I don't know if the above affects performance as I have never used this sub myself
Wrap-up:
-- Floor should look good with some audio carpeting
-- Would most likely have to trim floor to get it to fit perfectly with carpeting
-- All items sold USED AS IS as a group -- I will not split up
-- I will NOT ship, pickup at my house ONLY
-- cash ONLY

JB. dpes the box sit flush or close to flush when installed??

No, right now it sits approx 4 higher than the floor (which itself it raised, obviously). Since it's made of plywood, you could trim the box, I guess... Never thought of that!
I'm pretty sure that the box would still have to sit into the spare well, however, because of the depth of the subwoofer when installed...

Mike me and chris made my floor in under 5 hours including wrapping. If you want we can help you make one, the wood we used is only 1/4 thick so its super thin and it wont stick up much. My fitment is great, not sure if you saw it good enough
I don't think I'd want to make a sub box out of 1/4 plywood (heh, heh) but that is up to you... But thanx Scotty for the thread jack.

I never said I made a sub box out of 1/4 inch wood, what I said was I made a false floor.

Yup. The way it is cut right now, it'll require rear seat removal. Of course, all you need is a saw to remedy that... heh, heh. Remember that it IS made of plywood...
Tell ya what, $35 and it's yours. That'll cover your gas to pick it and the sub up...

Yeah, I can help you out. Can't spend too much time on it, however, as I'm getting my Cavi ready as a trade-in and I have to get it done quickly. But we should be able to cut and rough fit it.
