Good Luck! Cause your not the only one. I don't know how much your looking to spend but autozone has rebuilt ones for 800 plus a core. If that is an option.

What exactly is wrong with the one you have now? Might be something simple.

I have a 2002 5-speed with 34K on it off a 2200 car. I don't belive it'll fit with your application, but if you find out otherwise, I want practically nothing for it--just that it gets gone.

well...it all began with a loud bang in reverse and first....2nd through 5 run fine.....then taking it to the shop i pull into the parking lot and cant take my foot off the clutch cause it was just grinding to hell...so i just turned it off and pushed it in.....

one problem i had was the cv joint axle went up....so i fixed that...but theres a bigegr problem sumewhere...i just gotta figure out wat that is.....

and i bought it from jungalozeke...with 67,000 miles on it....new clutch was installed by his dad(ASE certified)....

i think either.....sumthing wasnt tight when the clutch was installed and came loose...or a broke sumthing and it will need a full rebuild

but its gettin pulled tommorow and looked at...so ill keep u guys updated

Check the throwout bearing. And also if that is bashed. Check to make sure it didn't take out your bearing around the input shaft. Was it leaking any fluid?

that is atleast a sign that there is no cracks in your case which is a good thing. You probably didn't try and get the dipstick out to check the fluid levels did ya?

do u kno hoard hard it is to replace the spider gears on this thing....i just got back from the shop and they drained the fluid and metal chinks came out.....and another guy is having the same problem rigfht now.....and his spider gears were broke to hell......

so these are my 2 questions
how much are the spider gears?
and
How hard to replace?

There is 2 of em. butthere is a good chance the metal chunks could have hit other gears and damaged them as well. They are on the end. There is a little cap. on the end and you can take the bolts and you will be able to see the gears.
