I was up visiting a friend this past week and simply fell in love with Boston. Is anyone in the area looking for a housemate/roommate? I would love to come up, at least for the summer and try living in the area. Let me know!

do you like traffic circles that much?
...wait, hold that thought. you live in the state of eternal right hand turns(since you can't turn left for ANYTHING). i guess a circle at every other traffic light won't be too bad.
the city itself is gorgeous. do you want to try living in the city or in the 'burbs?

i understand your passion I was up their for 4 days (training) and didn't want to leave, I was so debating just asking the place I was training at if they were hiring, putting in my 2 weeks notice, and sending the wife a plane ticket.

My last girlfriend had family in Boston, so we were there a few times. It's definitely a gorgeous city. Anybody that lives on the east coast and hasn't been there, I highly recommend it!

haha circles dont bother me, and where i live (south) you can make plenty of lefts
it doesn't really matter to me, i just want to be close. either MA or NH, both gorgeous...

I think my cousin is looking for a roommate. She lives somewhere in the city. I'll give her a call and find out.
Boston is a gorgeous city if you dont have to drive in it. The only city that I know where were you take 4 right runs and you don't end up where you started.
yeah there's absolutely no symmetry at all in that city...

If you like Boston you will love New Jersey. Nice yellow tint in the sky and it has it's own smell. People are
really friendly, and you can always find a diner to go to on any street you travel on.

Jersey ... Isn't that where you get to see a drive-by for free with $25 worth of gas or more?
Yes, the land of the drive by gas shootings and road rage drivers.
do you drive like a maniac who hasn't slept in a week and is ODing on caffeine pills?

You might have never heard of "parking by braille" which is how people in Boston park. I park nightly on Mission Hill in the Roxbury Crossing neighborhood and I have been hit (yes, new scratches, or worse - people parking ON my bumper) almost every night for 6 months running now. Unless you get your name on the bills and change your insurance you won't get a resident pass either so you'll be constantly trying to find a place to park like 9 blocks from your apartment... I moved in with my girlfriend who goes to art school there... and frankly I hate the area. It's disgusting and filthy, overpriced, the only nice thing is all the culture and entertainment. Other than that, I am so sick of Boston I could puke. People on RT 9 could not know how to drive any less. Every two minutes (especially in Newton) there will be a BMW driver in the left lane going 15mph. People NEVER let you into their lane if traffic is merging due to construction, even if you honk at them right in front of the cop. I got a $40 ticket for my registration being 4 hours expired... I've had over $150 in tickets in 6 months simply because there was no where to park... which is mostly just due to the fact that 2 cars will somehow occupy 9 spaces just because the Ford Expedition and F350 take up the entire strip of spots. Try turning right from RT 9 onto Parker Hill Ave --- there will always be somebody waiting for their light, parked so far from the curb, that you have to wait for them to leave until you can get up into the road because they block the entire road. Then there's the totally useless Hospital Security SUVs which drive around extremely loudly at 3AM waking everyone up - yet have never done a damn thing to help the community. Don't forget the college kids screaming at all hours of the night while you try to sleep... "DUDE BRAH... I JUST THREW A BEER HEY! EMERSON RULES YO!"
Maybe most of the problem is that it's a college area and the parking sucks... but I can't see any reason to want to move into Boston unless you're filthy rich and want to find friends. Studio apartments in sh*tty neighborhoods run $1400 a month! Give me a break! I have friends in Lowell and Fitchburg who have 3-5 bedroom apartments for $1200 a month. The city is beautiful yes... but sadly the nicest view I have seen (top of Mission Hill) was only shown to me because I had to park on the very top of the Hill, then walk AROUND the hospital employee parking lots (2 of them, empty at night, yet you're not allowed to park there) then around a few other streets just to get home. The view of the Prudential from up there is quite nice, but not enough to pull me in.
Jesse, maybe you should take the bus.
Yeeea. If I was going to live IN Boston, I would leave my car here in Jersey. I would like to stay in the city but close with public transportation is good for me. And yes, the culture and entertainment is enough to pull me in, despite parking and other flaws which every city has.
And yes, I drive like a Jersey maniac. I think. Haha. I don't know. Mainly when the shoobies are down .. they should all be limited to the right lane so us New Jerseyans can use the left lanes
