For any of you in New England whom like Hardcore or metal, I just wanted to let you hear my brothers band HATED. They have three demos on their page and are playing some concerts comming up. I've been to the dog tons of times and have many friends that go there
well, your bro's band ain't terrible, but they're not great either.... just a few things that i noticed that could be improved on:
Own: vocal rhythm is boring and technically unimpressive.... its the equivalent of playing quarter notes on a guitar for 5 minutes... which brings me to my next point, that song is way too much of the same thing going on for WAY too long... it really drags by the end, and could be helped significantly by shortening it down some. Also, the drummer sounds like he's not very confident with the beat he's playing.
Realize: a much better song already.... the singer on the melodic interlude, whoever it is, needs to be brought out more. He also sounds like he lacks confidence... when you're going to be singing something like that, and actually singing instead of screaming, you NEED to own it completely for it to communicate properly to the audience. The guitar solo is impressive, i get the impression the lead guitarist is probably the musical leader of sorts in the band.... your brother on the more scream-y parts also really owns what he's doing, the rest of the band just needs to do the same.
How Does: eh, got kind of boring like Own did... they could really stand to throw in more dynamics, and not place the breakdowns so predictably... its seems every song follows the same pattern.... the introductory riff, two minutes of vocals, solo 2/3-3/4 of the way through the song (normally triggered by the singer saying "GO"), then after the solo repeat some verse and end....
Overall, they've got potential, but if they really want to go beyond playing club shows they're gonna have to take it up a few notches... I've heard worse, but I've also heard better. More variety in dynamic levels and beats and such would go a long way.

^^ good stuff. Im glad you took the time to listen and give your opinion. I agree with alot of it. There newer songs are an improvment from there older ones.
Also for them its hard becasue they all like different music. Some hardore, some classic rock, some metal, one only likes rap.... go figure.lol (just likes playing music)
