I am considering on getting rid of my carbon fiber hood. It's a VIS Invader in pretty good condition. My problem with it is that there is a small crack under the gloss over lay near the vent and I can't have it like that for shows. If anyone is interested please let me know, I can have pictures of this crack. I honestly didn't know about it until my friend was closely inspecting the weave process and saw it. Im not putting an amount because of the crack, but if I can I'd like to get somewhere around $200 if possible. But I will take best offer!

you could always have it partially painted to cover the crack. i've seen very few partially painted hoods, and they always seem to do well at shows - that's why i have one on my car. when i still intended to show it, i figured that would help me stand out.
It would, but I don't have another hood and I don't quite have money to afford another one right now, thus why I haven't gotten those tails yet. But I should be getting the money soon!

Laura, thats a good idea, but I don't want to do it with white. I have seen one car with white paint and a half painted hood and it didn't look right. Also this is one of those hard to figure where the pait would go type cracks. Plus I can't pay for the work to do it.
Terry, I understand where you are coming from, and yes it would help me out a great deal and add up to the same as far as the Teins (btw what lights and wiring?) but I simply won't have a hood nor the money to pay for a new one. That is why I am trying to sell it!

Those Toyota tails are wired differently and need to be re-wired in order to work correctly.

Thanks, I'd keep it but I can't for show purposes and I can't afford to paint it with my money situations. But it's time for something new, Besides that crack there is nothing wrong with it, it's still in good condition.

agreed. the resin on CF hoods can scratch easily. it looks like one to me.
