Saturday I met up with Steve ( blue cav customs ) and got the carbon fiber front bowtie.
Saturday afternoon I put it on and put my car in the garage. Sunday we went out to
Arundel Mills and parked next to a kitted yellow Cavi. in front of Pets Smart. When we came out my new emblem was gone !!!! Along with the yellow Cavi.
So I'm looking for a yellow Cavi., tinted windows, Razzi kit with Supra type wing and silver 18's that are like 12 spoke or so, and it has blue and silver stripes in a splash like pattern up the sides. Oh and a new carbon fiber front bowtie !!
If this car sounds familier please let me know. Or if you see it please let me know.

Hmm, Next you see it check the front emblem and see if its carbon fiber. I don't want to go up to the wrong person with the cops in tow.

Sure, I'll keep a look out and tell a few friends too. Apparently people think that just because I have a Cav they have to tell me about EVERYONE they see. But yeah, I don't take my car there period. Josh and Brendans car got broken into there a few months back, thats all I hear. If I do go there I ride with someone else or pimp my Vibe!
I'll look around in Newark, there are alot of yellow cavs in the area! I'll be on the look out for ya! Alot of thieves live in Newark for some reason or another!!!

There was one that matched that description last week on Route 1 in the Laurel/Beltsville/College Park area...dont see many Cavs hooked up so thats why I remember it.
Between you and Kim it sounds like this might be the car. You both have my cell # so if you spot it and it has a carbon fiber bowtie call me. Yes I can positively identify it as mine when I see it. Thanks guys.

i dont see how involving the police is going to help. its pretty much gonna be his word vs your word. all he has to say is he bought it from a shop a while back or so. i really dont see anything happening except you just filing a police report
No see I got ONLY the carbon fiber overlay part from Steve I stuck it onto my old factory emblem which I removed all the gold paint from and painted it ORANGE from the under
side. SO why would he have an orange Chevy bowtie on his yellow Cavi. ? See I can proove this one is mine.

BaggedCav is right. It's a pretty crappy deal but there isn't much you can actually do as far as involving the police. Also, police aren't going to care if two modified cavy's are having an argument over a bowtie, they hate you anyways for having a loud flashy car as it is
my opinion is you just jack it from their hood (if their the one that actually sole it) or just buy another.
A friend of mine had his system stolen and found the kid so he filed a report. The kid claimed he purchased them off e-bay a few years ago and police didn't really care enough to even look into it. If the cops don't care about stolen sound system worth $700, you really think their gonna care about a bowtie emblem? Not trying to be mean, just honest. I know it's frustrating but sometimes there isn't much you can do.

No like I said mine has an orange painted bowtie that can be seen from the edge. Not the factory gold. And my question would be why then does the orange emblem MATCH
my orange car and why then does he have an orange emblem on a yellow car? I've allready talked to AA co police and I was told as long as I can proove its mine and they agreed the color thing is proof enough then I get it back and he gets theft and vandalism

Sorry Terry, I love ya but they are right. Cops aren't gonna do anything. If your lucky they will file a report. One night my old car and two friends got broken into. When we finally did get the cops to come out the guy was stupid and said he doesn't think they were related.....funny though, they were all parked together just a few spaces apart! They only wrote a report on mine and my x's cars because ours had the most damage (the glass shattered on his and they stepped on his to get into mine because we had little space to park) and because my old car was in my dads name. Other then that they could care less. Their whole idea is 'your stupid enough to mod your car or upgrade, you deserve your crap taken' (that is actually a quote from a cop).

Geez you guys have had bad luck with cops it sounds. Its cool the part matches my car
not the yellow one and I have pics to proove my car had the orange bowtie. I asked for you guys to look around cause its what the cops told me to do, keep my eyes open and if I find him call them, have my pics with me of my modded one and what the factory one looks like and thats proof enough. The cops at the station even agreed with me that it being re-painted to match my car is proof enough if its stuck on a yellow car.

Goodluck Terry. I disagree with the rest of you, if he has pictures, and the colors match he actually has enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt to prove its his. Now if it was just a pice you purchased and installed(not an overlay) he'd be up the stinky creek without a paddle.
However because the theft is of such minimal value, it would be better to just to take it back and not bother the police, their already overworked as it is.
Now if it was a GM CF engine cover of rare occurance and priceless value, that's a completely different story.
