this friday were having a nice car club meet. were expecting about 30+cars so if anyone is interested let me know. we meet at 8 pm at the giant on wilkens ave and maiden choice lane.
Not to be rude or anything but just because you gave cross streets doesn't mean everyone knows what city you are referring to. In addition, what car club? Who is "we"?

You guys may wanna rethink the location. trust me on this. Balto Co police will run you out down Wilkens ave to the City Line and and the Balto City District that borders Wilkens will have a field day when you guys drive into city limits on that shift.
And both will call State Police to cut off 695.
If you wanna know how I know..ask around youll find out Im legit about what Im saying.
I really dont wanna see any of you guys get caught up. And we all know theres always one moron that brings the wrong kind of attention to a nice gathering.
I tried to warn some guys about the 70 park and Ride a while back.
If anything you may be better off going into Linthicum or Glen Burnie..at least these areas are use to tuner cars. But please reconsider that Maiden Choice thing. Youre going to bring a lot of loud, attention gathering cars to a rather quiet area which is going to make fols wanna call the police and worse youre like 2 blocks away from Wilkens Precinct and a mile down the road is Balto City SW District.

actually my car club has been meeting there every friday for the past 3 months. its near the old folks yes. but that place(i know cause i use to work there) is so far back that they wont hear anything nor will they call the police. and weve already had cops drive by and they didnt stop or say anything. so if ur scared then just dont come. thankx and i already know the cops from umbc so there not a roblem. but thanks for your concern, i know a lil bit bout this myself.

BTW it has nothing to do with being scared. " I know a lil bit about this" because I work at the Southwest District in the City and we work with the guys up at Wilkens precinct. a lot.
During the late shift they found a new hobby..chasing the Tuner Cars. I tried to warn a couple folks out at the Park and Ride a while back. They didnt listen. The next wekend..Guys from City and the County including their Air unit planned a nice little "get together"..lol and even got MSP into it.
From a cop's point of view it was cool to watch..however because Im into this hobby just like everyone else it was kinda sad to see..especially when they had a little bit of warning.

From what ive seen there havnt been ANY run ins with the police, seems like a decent spot.
As far as 70 park and ride, yes the cops love chasing tuner cars and have done some pretty spectacular rd blocks as far as blocking where 70 meets 695, the helicopters and all kinds of stuff. All it seems to do is cause more accidents, they dont seem to catch many people unless somebody wrecks, so i dont see how they can justify what there doing as even close to being effecient. Ive been around there a lot when the cops come and yeah, i do beleive they have reasons to chase people out of there, but they take it to an extreme. Just my two cents.
Maybe thats why the cops dont come mess with our meet, there too busy chasing everyone else farther around 695.

just to make sure you're good, why don't you ask permission from the property owner? it wouldn't hurt, and it would give you leverage should the police decide to boot you.
lord knows it works with the Sinister Js, and it worked effectively in the past with other clubs...
/\ /\ /\ Make that WRITTEN permission. We found that out the hard way when Howard County police ran us out of a Columbia Mall meet last summer.
And the 70 park and ride is where all the street racers go to run. I surprised the cops aren't there every night. I was invited a couple times but the thought of being under a microscope with the cops watching, no thanks.

I was gonna comment on that 70 park and ride thing. Being if they are just chasing them for the heck of it. If it was me and there was no signs posted for no loitering I would nail them for harassment. Just because of a certain type of vehicle I drive. But now that someone said something about it being a spot for ppl to arrange illegal street racing more the merrier and hope to see them Come up with some better techniques for catching them.
They need to learn to go to a track to race and not the streets!
