As seen on the front page of the Worcester T&G, George Chambers (owner maybe) of Herb Chambers crashed his GT40 doing 60 (so he claimed) in a 30.
What a waste of a $166,000 car. The best part is that is was on dealer plates.

I could see that happening at 60mph. 60mph is a pretty decent speed, especially when coliding with something or rolling. That pic is also after they extracted whoever was in the car, so some of that damage can be attributed to a hydraulic cutter and the jaws of life.

i hope the guy is OK, regardless of his driving. although i find it VERY hard to believe he was only doing 30...id say at least 50, considering the body of that car cant be very strong. as far as i know, correct me if im wrong, isint it fiberglass/carbon fiber? doing 30 in that car is pretty hard i would assume!! HA!

those things are designed to go fast and weight nothing, not survive crashes. Hell ford actually came up with a new revolutionary way to put paint on it so it can weigh even less! They are made of aluminum and some other composite materials, so it doing 60 and looking like that isnt so unreasonable. But if he is anything like me, if he said 60, he was really doing 90.

he owns a HUGE cadillac and gmc dealership here in rhode island.. if hes ok, he'll have another one in no time at all... insurance from that dealership will most likely give him enuff to get another one, theyve been around for ages
