well this neck of the woods is pretty quiet. kinda sucks, my girlfriend just got an 02 Z and ive got my project and i know Illd9 is only 40 mins away, NJHK is about 3 hrs away, i want to see if theres some interest in maybe getting together for a weekend afternoon, do some cruising, get some food, go to one of the two casinos ( 2 largest in the world ) i dunno do whatever. I live in Stonington CT, as far SE as you can go in CT, but westerly RI is where im at alot. anywho enough babbeling, anyone interested?
when are you thinking of having this? if it turns out to be a big meet ill try to get there, according to mapquest its about 2 1/2 hrs. but i have a wierd schedule so its kind hard to plan but keep us updated
im thinking of having this whenevers a good time to get the most amount of people together. i can switch my sched real easy at work so whenver a decent group or anyone for that matter wants to get together i will basically revolve my sched around theres to meet up. neone else interested?
we should def. get a meet going at mohegan or foxwoods... im down in a couple weeks when my car is back to running fine.. not the turbo install im worried about, i need to have an exhuast made! ah...... im down, another local j said he was down too.. maybe sunday feb. 26th or even the first sunday in march?

yeah that sounds better waiting a while. like you said, it would give us more time to put the word out, get more people, maybe plan a little something, march can still give us some snow but usually feb is the worst, and ill have some time to get some more goodies too! hehe. do you guys have a club you could bring or any friends that might also be interested? maybe get ne-jbody to come? im hoping we can get a decent turnout, and not the usual yeah ill be there and only 4 show up ya know

you dont have to be 21 or even 18 to go into foxwoods or mohegan, you cant go on the gaming floors but there is plenty of shops to buy crap and plenty of restaurants to eat food in, game rooms cause i know no one can touch me in air hockey lol. they have shows at mohegan in the summer every wed hot rod shows and whatnot. so please age isnt a factor. i dont want anyone not to come because theyre not "of age" all ages welcome. they do have a dyno down here. on demand performance i can look into that if anyones interested.

I live in northern RI but I'm at school at URI (southern RI..Kingston) for now. I'm definitely down for a meet, I have yet to meet with any Org members or go to any J meet. If I can get my schedule straightened out I'll drive out to meet some people.

actually last year when i used to be a manager at cvs, once in a great while i worked at the cvs there ( URI ) on campus. LOTTA hot lookin girls. i would park my car out front with a little hand written note, so the parking nazi didnt come and town it. god i hated seeing that thing come around. poor kids some got toed even if they were properly parked.
If its during spring of summer, i'll go. I'll be coming from cape cod.
this is awesome. i never thought we would start getting this many people interested! itll deffinitly be in the early stages of the better weather months. i know right now my car is plowing snow, i am going to have a few pics up in p&m forum. i know some others will probably be the same and its not worth it to put alot of money into a car just to reck it going to a meet. so deffinite weather is a must. but i dont want to push it too far away where people forget or loose interest. im thinking first week of april? yay nay?
Carbon Cavi, I know exactly what you mean about the parking situation. We have to pay $200 to park in a specific area of campus and we're not even guaranteed a spot. How ridiculous is that? URI loves to screw you over any way they can.
Its a bit cold to have a meeting now, especially with all the snow currently coming down. Early April would be good, but I probably wouldn't be able to do April 1st. We may even want to think about March, its not exactly warm but I don't think we'll be getting too much snow, either?

I was thinking late march myself. last weekend or something. snows a possibility but usually its february that slams this area. anyone else think this is a good time to have it? i want to make it convenient for as many people to come as possible. yeah URI bends people over big time. U should check out the URI manager there now.
