Hi Everyone,
I have an original 1989 Z24 hardtop. The car is all there. Interior is black and in great condition. The engine developed a coolant leak (not between cylinders, read bottom) and continued to drive by adding coolant. It has 71,000 well maintained miles. It's an automatic with the original 2.8L.
I offer the car as a whole. I'd really not like to break it into parts. The really good parts on the car are the hood, skirts, lights, grill, glass, electrical and complete interior. Everything in the interior and dash (no cracks) is in great condition. There are no rips or worn areas in the seat coverings, but the headliner has started to sag. Alternator rebuilt, recent coil pack, wires, tires good, front struts/shocks low miles, recent battery...PW, cruise, tilt, good steering wheel.. All pieces are there.
I'd be interested in an offer around $200USD (yeah, two-hundred-bucks). The car is located near Elizabeth, NJ or Exit #138 off the Garden State Parkway. Let me know by replies/emails. My best availability is weekends. I do not have the time to strip this car and sell everything separately.
Best bet would be to arrange to have the car towed. I originally offered this car with a set of dealer-new NOS rims. The car would be a great parts car for someone. I'd rather not let a junkyard part this car out.

The coolant leak is coming from the rear corner (firewall side) of the passenger-side head. It is not a 'blown head gasket' meaning between any of the cylinders. The exterior corner of the block-to-head is leaking. The compression on all cylinders is within 20 psi. I never got around to taking the head off or getting a new 3.1 as I planned. The engine was still very strong despite the leak. The leak is from the water jacket out. I have not detected any foaming in the oil.

so would just a new head gasket fix it?
