I thought everyone loved my "Loud Exhaust System" and my "Interior Neon Lights", but obviously the inspection lady hasn't been laid in a few weeks...
Anyways, that's what I failed for, any place in NJ I can go to pass, please let me know!

for interior neons
are they wired in to come on when the door opens or something?? im confused. i can see failing for the exhaust, but not for neons.(unless used as stated above)
you need to make friends with someone who inspects cars!!

why can u fail for ones that come on when you open the door
that seems stupid..and i never failed for those, or underbodies
you should come to ny. don't matter how loud your exhaust is as long as you have a cat and we don't care about neons. at least not for inspections.

^^^well in my part of NY, they care about everything. thank god i have a buddy who does inspections, or i would be screwed.
as for the neons, i could see them saying something about them being hooked up to interiors, cuz when you're driving, and you need to turn on the interiors, say to find change for the toll, your neons would come on, thus being illegal. although this is based on your particular states laws.
ive seen people failed for less!!!

Yeah, they are wired to come on w. the interiors, but they are under the footwells.....thus they are not illegal because you cannot see them from the outside of the car. BTW, I found a place to inspect my car on Thursday. Hehe!

^^^that would be my guess as to why, even though it is within the law. alot of old timer auto people hate all the new stuff we do, and show it when stuff like this happens.

Eazy: I called them up today and asked if they do the inspection. After asking if I had failed and for what, they agreed, since this place does not do regular state inspections. So I am hoping they will....It seemed like they would over the phone. I hope so, I would hate to waste money.

you have to pay for yours? when i got my tags in jersey, the inspection was part of the tag price and i just took it to the place. didnt need to pay when i got there. they loved my car, didnt say a word about my exhaust and didnt even question the switches. passed no problem

NJ is one of the few states where you don't have to pay for inspection if you don't want too.
Just like the'r eone of the few states you can't pump your own gas or make left hand turns on strets/state roads/

Sam thats weird, they passed my car with no problem with the Weapon R intake and the 2 1/2 catback with my fart cannon muffler. The guy said he even liked the car ... i cant image why your exhaust made you fail ...
my exhuast is loud as @!#$.....i never had a problem.....they did fail me for tint tho(he let me go on the clear corners)

my car got inspected with no engine in it and the radiator core support chopped out with a huge intercooler in its place.

I really don't know why, but I am sticking with the theory that the lady obviously hasn't gotten any from her boyfriend or ho or whatever you call it, so she took it out on my car. The best part is, the station I went to doesn't have a decibel reader, so how is it too loud??
