anyone want to help me install remote starter?
Friday, December 09, 2005 1:02 PM
i live in lancaster....roughly 30-40 min from harrisburg, york, reading, and such. i just bought a viper 160XV remote starter and security kit. i was wondering if anyone living around or near me is willing to help/show me install the kit. im sure shops would pay over $100 for the labor and additional parts, but im willing to pay anyone who knows how to install one of these kits for just under the $100. its money right there for you, you know what to do, and you're helping out a fellow jbo member. i'll pay for your lunch at mckay d's or bk somewhere. please let me know. remember if you had done this and/or know exactly how to wire and look around the cavvy please inquire. hit me up on AIM-aznmph, here on the org's thread or PM me. we could set up a weekend-ie sat or sun. thanks again in advance everyone. i have the kit and i am waiting for the 555L module online to be bought.

wil if the weather is a problem then perhaps when it gets a bit more warmer, i had the intention of installing this b4 heavier snow fell this winter season. Oyyci, how confident are u in installing the viper/DEI kits on a car, especially our j-bodies? im not saying your incapable, just making sure how well u know where to look and what to connect. if you do feel very confident and not screw me over, then perhaps we could meet a time and place. sinister js meet saturdays in york correct? and your in columbia, which isnt too far away from either york or lancaster. i live in leola, about 15-30 away from downtown lancaster or even to columbia. let me know if you are welling to help, along with anyone else who would know the how to on the install. thanks a bunch. if more than one person is helping me then i could split the labor cost or something, idk, jsut a thought....within reason of course if that scenario ever comes up.

i put a rattler kit in my moms van, it came with a website where you could go and download wiring instructions for your car. like this wire connected to this color wire which is located here... if you get what i am saying. i f you have that info, i am pretty sure i could do it, but i don't want to screw someones car up either. if you want to meet sometime it's cool. it's up to you, not going to say if i want to take it on or not till i see intructions...

FST--It would basically come down to who has the tools for the job. I could always take a road trip, or you could come over to my house/garage. Like I said, I'm goin to school for this stuff starting in Jan.

E-mail if you have any questions.
