Alright I have a messed up situation with my car. It is a 99 body, 00+ motor and I think a 96-99 transmission. what I'm trying to find out is if a 00+ tranny will fit in the 99 body. It is a 99 z24. I've heard it wo'nt I've heard they will. I'm looking for some sorta confirmation.

5 spd manual. I'm not sure if the mounting is the same in the car. I'm figuring it is, but I want to make sure before I go and buy a new transmission and find out I can't use it. And want to make sure the wire hook ups are the same.

I was told they didn't. Or Heard they didn't. Cause the bell housing or something are dif. I think. i'm not sure. I know all the junk yards don't show anything but 2.4 trannies working.

They use different bellhousings and gear ratios. They are NOT the same.

Yea, the internals can be swapped out, but it's a PITA. but no, you can't bolt a 2.2 trans to a 2.4, period.
