starting on custom enclosure

Hey guys,

just started working on my custom enclosure and was wondering if anybody had any tips on anything about starting it. i have an mtx mx series 10" sub and a thunder 342 amp. just wondering if there are any things i should know before i start donig it thanks!! ill have pics of the process in a couple of days


"Boost tuning"....... have you had your 8 PSI today?

VERY well put. this is probably the biggest thing you can do to prevent f*ckups.

just make sure your cuts are straight, and make sure your design is sound, ie it is to the manufacturer's specifications. be fully aware, its your first time, you'll probably f*ck it up, i did.

If you give me the diamentions, i can build you one.

I copied another box for my friend chris, With his cockeyed diamentions, And came out very well for his 3 12" MTX subs.

Make sure that when you measure, Use the same unit of measure. I perfer metric, my friend however gave me some metric and some english measurements.

It took him 3 hours to do the conversions. And it took me 5 hours to make the box, less carpeting.

well i finished my enclosure about 10 minutes ago. it looks sweet!! i will have pics up tommorow when i can get my hands on a digi cam. thanks for all the advice i measured at leat three times every time!!! haha.

make sure to use screws not nails and some wood glue
