the last autocross event on the 24th at Park City was awesome!
Although, I was dissappointed at the same time.
There was only 1 cavy other than myself, and there were alot of people that said they would go and/or meet us at Denny's and whatnot, well no one showed at Denny's, we were there til like 7:20
and the only person I saw at the event was Pa Pa Bear (unfortunately his car was not in the condition to run)
Well, the next event at Park City is on August 21st. All the details are the same, reg/tech starts at 8 and first car off is at 9. Pre-reg is available at http://www.myautoevents.com
Now I will be running in this event again (I'm already registered) and I know of 1 other Cavy that will def be running. It would be awesome to see some more J's competing. And please dont say "My car isnt that fast" or "My car isn't race ready"
All I have done to mine is an intake. Thats it. And I ran times faster than some of the Corvettes that were there.
Anyway, I think part of the reason people didnt show was the short notice, so this time you have a full 3 weeks to decide, even if you decide not to race, it'd be nice to have a big group of J's representing.
I figure that we will meet up at Denny's again around 6 or so for breakfast then leave by 7:30. I will also most likely pick a place at the event to meet so people can find us.
All and all it will be another great day (as long as i remember sunblock this time)

Also, I think I'm shooting for 222 as my number. Running heat 1 sucked and being at the very end of the pack sucked as well, so 222 sounds better. *goes to pre-register*

Thanks for that link. My buddy Chris beat you by 2 spots in your class The car i rode with was the 15th fastest of the day haha.. it was nuts!

I think i'd like to race the next time too. Only thing stopping me is that when i did my ride along i couldn't figure out which way we were going to go! I'll probably end up off course like a lot of people did in the last class at the last meet.

For those who need helmets, they have loaners there.

Gouda, there's other autocross events going on a little closer to home for us, more towards Philly, about a 50min ride out to the Boeing Plant. Dates are 8/14, 8/28, 9/18, and 10/2. People from our club will most likely going out to these events, plus i think there's one this weekend up at Pocono raceway, buts its professional. So most likely spectator only, but I'm sure it be worth going to watch the pros at work and get tips. If you're interested let me know on those other ones by Philly.
