Heaviest Traffic Impacts of 11-year Construction Project Just Ahead --
>From 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 15th to 5:00 a.m., Monday, July 18th.
northbound I-95/Beltway Outer Loop just west of the Wilson Bridge will
be reduced to one lane. Ramps from north and southbound US Route 1 to
the Outer Loop will be closed with detours to Telegraph Road. The ramp
from northbound I-95/Outer Loop to northbound US Route 1 also will be
closed with detours to Telegraph Road. To help divert traffic, where
northbound I-95 joins the Capital Beltway at the Springfield
Interchange, the ramp to the Wilson Bridge will be closed.
Long-distance traffic will be routed around the Beltway in the opposite
direction. Local travelers will be directed up I-395. Reducing the
Outer Loop to one lane just west of the Wilson Bridge is forecasted to
result in weekend backups of 10 to 15 miles, with 60 to 90 minute
delays. All travelers are urged to avoid the area, if at all possible.
Long distance travelers should consider bypasing Washington DC with
alternate routes including US 301 to the east and US 17 to I-81 to the
west.

yes it is...i was just hoping it was info about my side of 695. they're tearing the whole thing up right around I-83...which makes it LOVELY for me to go much of anywhere, since i live off 83...

Damn you live all the way up there? Holy crap! Hell, I live off 29, they've been doing construction for way too long, everythings hell. Then they are going to make ANOTHER intercounty connector right by where I live.....grr this constructions getting to me. Why can't they fix the roads they need rather then wasting money on things that can wait!
yup...i'm up there. 83's all messed up, every road that crosses the light rail is torn up, and the beltway from like Dulaney Valley Rd to Reisterstown Rd(possibly further) is all messed up.
i hate it...heh.

I hear that. I think it's a conspiracy with all the shops lol, they mess up good roads so people hit stuff and need their cars fixed!

Kim, that part of 29 sucks ass...at least when the construction is done with, the roads will be decent again...those new overpasses are gonna allow for less traffic now.
Yeah but those lights they are taking out, they are adding lights again to places that don't need them. They are also removing the intersection for 29 and Greencastle Road!
At least I live in frederick . . . but I just read in the Washington Post yesterday that there will be a 370 I/95 bypass so no one would have to go all the way around 495 to get to 270.

easy detour, simply take 295 pick up 395 and come across over by the pentagon and wash monument, then cut down rte 1, or cut across duke street.
leave it to Art to have a detour for you....

and 198 is allllllll tore up..... plsu rt 1 is alllllllll tore up. Every road in or around Laurel has been torn to hell. How many "amigos" can they really have doing road work at one time?

since working down in the heart, epicenter of baltimore city.....
the past 3 weeks of my part time job, even at rush hour i have not encountered stop and go traffic really.
maybe 1-2 stop lights when it was raining, but thats about it.
and i can do the same in DC.
gonna suck relearnin stuff in hawai'i
