Hey guys i just thought i'd throw up a post. Anyone living in the 607 or near there and is looking for a place to work on their car, or have any sort of custom fabrication done I have just started my own shop. We are called 607 Motorsports and have the capabilities to do pretty much anything you'd want. Suspension, interior, body and paint, custom fabrication, custom turbo kits, tuning capabilities etc. Check out my cardomain site to view some of our cars and get a better description of what we can do. www.cardomain.com/id/jimmyc99z24 The shop was started this spring and is currently very busy, we have a great reputation in our area, but we are looking to get even larger and branch out a bit. J-Body guys check out a couple of our cavys, a 94 3800 supercharged and my 99z24. Also on a side note i'd love to get together with some fellow j-body guys in the near future for a meet in this area. I'm in the Southern Tier of NY, Corning, NY specifically, if anyone is interested in a meet im open for ideas, there's quite a few parks in this area that i think would be great for a meet. I just wanna make sure we can get enough people interested to make it worth while. Thanks alot guys.
I live near New Milford, Pa. Its nice to see there is another shop to compete dreamakers customs. They charge so much its not funny.
There isnt many shops for us in this area, thats precisely why we decided to start ours and see how it went, so far so good. The few shops we do have around here do terrible work and in my opinion overcharge. We are talking making turbo kits from 2" muffler piping, paint that looks like it should be flat, and engine swaps or upgrades that never seem to run right. It's my opinion that if you dont know what your doing then dont do it, people spend alot of money and want their cars to be right. I treat every car as if it were my own, nothing leaves my shop until we are completely satisfied with it. Our club has gained alot of respect the past few years because of our attention to detail and cutting edge stuff, thats what we strive to do for everyone else as well. Anyone has any questions or wants quotes drop me an email at jcarl_19@yahoo.com or im me on aim at jc92camaro. Thanks alot guys, oh and i still wanna set up a j meet, anyone interested? I know the meet here in Watkins a few weeks back wasnt all it was supposed to be, and the weather was bad, but Ive got a few ideas for what i think would make a nice meet. Lemme know of any interest
Let me know, im always interested in meets. Ill probably be back up to Walmart parking alot again this saturday. Ill try to get some of the local(non-J) guys. Also, im hoping that I will be ready next friday(the 24th) to hit up the Liecester if you are still interested.

Hey RJ, i'll def be at wal mart Saturday night as long as the weather is good of course. Last Sat we ended up going to Elmira about 9 for a gathering that turned out pretty sweet, about 30 or so sport compacts showed up there. Hopefully i can get most of my club there this weekend. I may be game for Leicester if i can get my car straightened out, its getting better but still not quite right, i swear every damn sensor in that thing has been bad. Hopefully once i install the 02 sim and new coolant temp it will be aight. I beleive im going tomorrow to get my nitrous tank filled up as well so then i shoudl be good to go
quite a few people meet at the home depot in Johnson city. I havent gone up this year yet but most of the sport compact is there at dark i think. I can only imagine half the cars were done by dreamakers sadly.
I'm like 45 mins from corning. It is nice to see a shop opening up in this area. I was hoping to open one up myself. Just wanted to get myself settled in a stable job first and work this from the side and after i got some education in the field. I have personal experience but I would rather have the certificate in hand or close to ahving it in hand.
hmmm Johnson City eh? Well im only about 45 min or so from there, maybe i'll head up that way sometime soon and see what the area has to offer and promote my business a bit. Spence, yeah i understrand where your coming from boss. I graduated from Syracuse University in 2003 with a degree in Public Relations and Marketing, after graduating i got a job pretty quickly as the director of pr/marketing at a fairly big area winery . I worked there for a lil over a year and always found myself wanting to pursue this dream, some may say its dumb, or stupid but i decided i had to make an effort at it while i was still young. I've worked on cars and been around cars my entire life, i have a degree in auto restoration and auto mechanics from a community college here as well. So far i'm satisfied with how things are going, i've taken quite a risk giving up a pretty decent job, but if i can live a dream it's worth it to me. As of right now we are working out of a decent sized 2 bay garage, but plans are to build ourselves a new shop in this area within the next year. I've seen a few of dreamakers cars at some shows ive been too, some of their work is good, but ive also seen some of their stuff be pretty bad, i think thats just pointless to ever let something you've done look bad, i'd rather lose money than jeapardize my name or repuation.
no one can ever call a dream stupid!! congrats on your adventure i can say honestly there are times in a shops life that are high in profit and there are times were you sit on the pc all day and look at jbo (atleast in my case thats what i did ) but can i give you alittle advice take it as a grain of salt if you must i know you wanna be competative with that other shop but it is never good to bad mouth your compotition no matter how bad there work is believe me i speak from experience you never know who they are friends with.
I'll have a shop up and runnin in Carlisle very soon... yay!!
Jimmy its worth a shot. Who knows you could prolly give Dreamakers a run for their money. Their shops up on the vestal parkway. Look for a jaguar on air ride with chrome rims its theirs. Theirs alot of kids in Johnson city with a bunch of money so i would think about it.
Congrats on the new shop, sounds cool. I am from Elmira, but right now I am in Pittsburgh going to college. I am coming home next week, so maybe I will be at the walmart show next saturday.

Hey guys Binghamton area checking in. Yeah Home Depot always has a show Saturday afternoons. They have all kinds of cars mostly older muscle cars and as things wind down the imports start showing up. I have never heard of Dreamworks Customs but by the sounds of things I am not missing much. Add me to your guys yahoo or aol mw189no2. Going to be needing some body work and paint done soon.... give me an idea what you are charging for paint job.
hey.......bout time i found some local j tuners.......im down past elmira a little bit in sayre pa.............i'd like to meet up with some people who think tuning a car goes beyond a fart can, aluminum wing and taking off your hubcaps.
and good luck with the shop, always like to see a car shop get off to a good start

hey guys just checking back on this thread, thanks for all the support, things are going great so far. We are looking to sponsor a local cruise night around here friday evening/nights. I will let you all know once i know more, also sponsoring a large car show this summer as soon as a few loose ends are tied up. Right now we are trying to create a true promotional car which we can build this fall/winter and take the larger shows next show season. Any ideas? It doesnt have to be a j-body. Right now my thoughts are for something pretty crazy which hasnt been done, or hasnt been done much. One of the ideas im looking at right now is a Honda CRX with a custom widebody kit, fiberglassed interior, full stereo system, and either a b18 gsr engine, or an h22 both with custom turbos. I'd like to be able to use it for my promo vehicle to display everything we can and do here at 607 Motorsports. Anyways thanks again for all of the support guys i really appreciate it.
i'm about 4 hours east of you

always up to meet new j's, as for a 1/4 mile strip theres no others here in the 607. The only one around us here is in Leicester NY at the New York International Raceway. BTW was just there last friday and ran the cavy, 14.62@93mph N/A, no nitrous run because my a/f ratio isnt quite right for some reason right now.
dang, thats kinda far. but i may head out to there sometime, skyview drags in tioga center is ok, but I perfer 1/4mile over 1/8th
