My g/f and I are setting up a little meet.
Nothing major, just a hangout kind of thing.
She has a Monte Carlo (W body, G bodies also welcome) and yea, you know what I drive....
Date is set for May 7th. Location is still up for discussion/suggestion.
From what I've seen there's a bit of interest on the W body side of this thing,
I'd like to see the J bodies show up in disgusting quantities....

Someone suggested UB as a meet spot.. Iw as thinking Losson park or some @!#$ so we can have a big ass cookout.....

losson sounds like a good idea. plenty of room for a bunch of cars, and plenty of room to cook. I hate going to UB. damn Amherst police have a tracking device on my car, lol

I favor the Losson idea as well. I honestly don't think many people would actually grill food, but the option being there makes it a little cooler.
Not to mention standing at UB = nowhere to use the bathroom either, which would shorten the meet as well.
I may have to post on her Monte Carlo forum and toss some ideas their way.
And as far as Amherst cops.... I've been lucky so far, I've been going back and forth through Amherst for 9 months now, without being pulled once.

My g/f tells me she was there earlier, gates are removed and it says to enter at your own risk.. ooooh scary.
I figure we can nab a shelter early, and own the place as long as we want, providing we pay rental fees, if required.
I'll take care of whatever fees, shouldn't be a big deal there.
And cops also still patrol the park.

theres no rental fees at como. its like a block from my house. i drove thru there this past weekend, but the gates were still there. knocked down to all hell, but there, lol

theres entrances to como park from william st., bowen road, and lake ave. in lancaster.

Ok to avoid being arrested or whatever at Como (I was told "No Trespassing" signs are still up)
We'll hold the meet at Losson Park.
I'll work on reserving the shelter and paying for it (the one closest to the big parking lot before the other shelters)
And then hopefully we'll all have some fun and talk crap about each other's slow cars... well mainly the Monte Carlos lol.

I personally don't feel like risking anything. I live right on teh Bowen Rd. entrance and am still going for the idea of Losson park. So are the other Montes that may be coming. And for that "slow" comment,
