Got an invite to come visit them and test drive the 05' cobalt ss if any other j's are interested in going. I think it will be cool to go all together and check this thing out because I personally have not seen one in person. Let me know. I believe its 9am to 6 pm on a Saturday.
Alex
Where is Rockmont again? I know but not off the top of my head! I'd prolly be down and know a few who'd be interested! Be good to see ya again too!
Hey Kim, Rockmont is on the corner of 355 and Gude Dr. Yeah let some people know and we can all go up there and maybe go for a cruise afterwards and get something to eat. And it will be good to see you as well.
Haha I knew where it was. I used to take the 00 there! haha. Which day, this Saturday?
Oh yeah Alex, after that we should do a cruise on the Pike, maybe grab some food. Broadway usually always has tables and parking! But the Pike is filled with places, lemme know if you wanna tack that on too! lol oh and a time?
Ok sounds good. Is it ok if we plan it around 4pm to meet at the dealership then get something to eat and cruise? My wife doesnt get home till 3pm and I will have my son till then. I will leave when she gets home. Is that ok with you and your friends? Let me know.
Alex

Alright, I will deffinetly be there around 4pm, anyone wanna meet at that time just let me know, Kim I will call you before then and we can meet somewhere then head to the dealership, now the question is, who is gonna walk out with the cobalt and leave their j-body their for good....lol!
Alex
Who said anything about trading? lol I'll just have 2 cars! haha
I'm down. I'll be at the Rockmont Chevrolet around 3:30 in the afternoon or I might just roll up there with Kim. Depends if I have to work or not.
Alright, I will be there around 4pm Saturday (tomorrow) and I was thinking maybe we can hook up with PAHTCUB from VA (right across the potomac river) and some others for cruising and what not. If ok, let me know.
Alex
Sounds good.......Im down!
yo alex im tryin to go....my phone is fqed again but you can hit me at the shop if you want.. if not ill try to be there @ 4 p.s. dont trade my baby in!
Well that turned out to be a bust. We did find out that Rockmont wanted to start a local J-body and Colbalt get together. They offered to feed us, lol. Maybe some sponsership.
We need to get a few key people to get this going. If anybody is interested, let me know.
Ken Hall is the general manager. He wants to have a meeting to figure out what will be needed to start this going. He offered a website, 75-80 track day, maybe there is more suggestions, reason for the meeting. Sounds like this could be a good way to have locals meet up. How about it.
75-80 is a horrible track. waayyyy too slippery. also, it is slated to close for good at the end of this season

Thanks Trevor.....listen, some of you didn't show which is cool, I know some had some issues that they couldn't make it. Like The Driver said, this will be a great opportunity to get in with the GM people and who knows what this could turn out to be? This General Manager was really enthusiastic about this get together. About the 75-80, that track was mentioned because the GM is friends with the owner and he could possibly get us some track time for us GM owners, which is not a bad idea. The main thing here is that they, Rockmont Chevrolet, wants us to show up for a car show at their car lot and attract customers, in turn they will provide us with a BBQ and some track time but all the details have not been worked out yet, The Driver is going to keep us updated with this.
Thanks to James, Trevor, Mike, Trevors friend and Punjabi MC (can't remember his name James.....lol) for showing up. I had a great time with you guys and it show a lot of dedication and commitment.
Yhanks again!
Alex
Hey all, sorry I couldn't show up. My Mom borrowed the car and didn't get home til like 6. Anyone down for something Friday night?
Alex,
Sorry I could not make it. I was working all day and through the evening. I never get much time off from work but I will do my best to become more involved with meets. So far the only meet I have planned on going to is the release party Teckademics is hosting at Dream Night Club on April 2. Also, I now live in Frederick so I also spend alot of time commuting to work. Keep me posted.

Who here wants a new Cobalt SS? Do you have the money for a new Cobalt SS? What would be your future plans with a new Cobalt SS?

Joe, believe me, I know how it is to have a hectic schedule...lol. Its ok that you didn't show.
Trevor (The Driver), James (Nate) and myself will be in charge for these GM meets and info and such. Us three know all about making commitments and the evreyday hassles of work and family time and what not. We understand that things come up unexpectedly and there are no hard feelings. It's basically if you can make it, great, if you can't, there will be more opportunities.
Anyways, The Driver will be posting more info as the days go on and Nate and I will be gathering the MD, VA, DC and whoever wants to come out. There are no specifics just yet but The Driver will let us know of any updates. We have no clue what will become of this but it seems very promising for us J-bodies and we are looking foward on the future events.
Thanks
Alex
I think that is pretty sweet that a dealership wants to do stuff with local tuners. Would be neat if something like that happened up my way but not counting on it. Not to many cars in my area are kitted or have anything done cept a fart can and a HUGH ass Spoiler! Oh and can't forget the giant APC sticker across the front windshield. But to one is his Own.
