Well I spent a good hour or two driving Rich's (exterminator) 04 eco with prostreet coilovers, i/h/e, etc. etc... Well we were troubleshooting a few issues which i won't go into, but i'm telling you right now I am very seriously considering trading in the Scarab to find myself something with an eco in it. Don't get me wrong, the 1.8T is an awesome engine but the way the eco revs and sings to you as it revs.... I'm in love. I am officially cheating on my car lol. I am a car-dulterer. The eco-powered J is quite honestly the most underrated tuner car i've ever driven. The srt4 has more power but the cav is more fun.... ARRGGG i should have never started hanging out with you people lol!!! Look what you make me do!! It's all your fault!

Yeah I'm not a big Eco fan but they are good engines Rich's car is fun with all the Suspension stuff in it. hahaha

Considering now I've owned the 2200 OHV, and the 2.4 TWINCAM engines as well as the 2.2 ECOTEC I do have to say the 2.2 ECOTEC is by far the best engine that that I have felt stock in the J-Body platform. I think each one of them have decent potential and where all fun at the time but this ECOTEC does kick some serious ass.

hey, this doesn't apply to you brian... the only inline 4 OHV autos that I'm worried about are Scruffdog and Jeffie.
Well I'd hate to disappoint but my car came through for me at the track this past weekend, so I'm in love again lol... It had been pissing me off which is why driving rich's car was such an experience, but now that mine mysteriously worked its problems out, its running where it should be and i'm content. Hopefully the downpipe, exhaust dump, and EGT gauge (free, gotta love it when you profit from the misfortunes of others) will be in by sunday. After that, a boost gauge and about $0.25 worth of additional mods, and I'll be more than happy with my car
