So I replaced the brake pedal switch under the dash but the taillights still stay on what else could be wrong with it.I have been told that it could possibly be back feeding somewhere any help would be appreciated
The combination switch on the steering column could be going.
It's the one that your directionals are on. They're known for going out.
I'd say it's the most likely issue.
Also, just to be sure it's not a simpler thing, have you tried adjusting the brake switch?
