So heres the deal I have a 02 cavalier that I just picked up had the ecotec in it until the timing chain broke, I have a 2200 sfi engine, 5 speed tranny, wiring and computer...everything needed to do the swap except motor mounts and other little things I am assuming? I have been searching and find alot of people do the eco swap, but this is just going to be a cheap DD and want to use what I already have if I can't find a decently priced eco engine. My question is has anyone done this before and is there any headaches Im going to run into along the way?

Basically just read about the eco swap and go backwards.

just search for a cheap ecotec. sounds like a lot of work and a lot of power loss just because you have the motor.

I believe under your other little things you should post a pre 99 car to make the swap worth while.

Just find a cheap head, and put a new timing set on
