Too Many Codes..
Saturday, December 04, 2010 11:27 AM
So the check engine light came on my 98 sunfire gt and I got the codes an there was 7 codes the codes were p0122, p0108, p0502, p0507, p0300, and p0141 came up twice. The car runs good but the only things I notice different is a cold start the rpms would be a little higher than usual and when I would brake with the car in neutraul the car would rev a little lower than 1500 and when I come to a complete stop it completely drops down to 1000. I would really appreciate any help

well i know on mine i tossed a 0507 turned out my throttle cable was damaged in 3 spots and cause stress on the cable. thankfully i was replacing anyway to run my new eco cable. (was a 2.4).

Lil lower then 1500? damn i rolled 2g on mine during testing after my swap but was due to a damaged cable. she dropped to 550 now. loven it. Sometimes ive noticed that some codes may relate to each outher.

i would look for a common ground/splice...some of those are out of parameters, like a common point being open. the misfire and high idle, idk. but i would look for a common point in the wiring.
