I've got a GM strut tower bar with the single fire wall bolt. I wanted to know if anyone wanted to straight trade for like an ebay one or something.
Reason is I don't want to screw with the PCM bracket or anything like that. I want to keep that all the way it is.
So yeah, anybody want to trade strut bars?
Your going to have to screw with that bracket either way, plus the gm bar is far superior.
i just don't want to end up having problems with it. Is there some kind of how to or something? I mean I know it's simple, but the pcm is kinda important, not something I want to screw up. Loose connections, broken wires or connectors, and all that crap.
on my dads car I bolted the ecu above the strut tower bar and adjusted the bracket as needed.
relocate your ecu to under the wiper cowl..took me maybe an hour.
I have a GM one, but I dont know if I want to @!#$ with the PCM either... got anything else to trade?
Hmm, the thing is that I paid a far less than it was worth so I wouldnt feel right asking for anything much over $20... Seriously have you checked the yards? I got mine in that one in Poughkeepsie by DCC. Sorry I said anything, can't think of anything I would need for an even trade. Still looking for LS sport front and rear bumpers but that me and everyone else on here.
I'm sorry I'm a bit confused. Are you offering a trade for a GM bar, but not for another GM bar (understandably)? I'm sorry, I'm just not sure what your talking about.

I have the GM strut bar with the 2 holes to mount into the firewall. Don't really feel comfortable trading for the one like yours, and dont really need anything that would be a fair trade. Sorry about all the confusion and even posting in the first place. Know this doesnt help at all, hope you can forgive me

I just tried to get the bar in, and it just doesn't fit at all. I've got the Cruise in the way, the pcm, the clutch fluid, the wiring harness, and a ground strap, which even when i removed, the @!#$ bar still wouldn't clear the @!#$ wiper cowl, so idk. I'm giving up. Today is turning out to be a day from hell, so I just can't wait till later when I go put in the lower ball joints and tie rod ends on my truck. With the way my day is going, I'm gonna break something, or hurt myself. It's just not gonna happen the way it's supposed to. But The gain of the GM bar versus the eBay one just is not worth the headache of getting it in.
Trade's are still valid! I still want to trade for an ebay one!!!

Just keep at it dude. I'm getting help putting mine in for exactly the same reasons you are saying here. And without the rear, I doubt it will even make a noticeable difference. If you're still having problems after I get help getting mine in, I'll let you know exactly what was done. Aside from mine being auto and yours manual, we have the same car pretty much.

Oh I have a vibrant Rear already in. If I don't trade someone else, you'll have to let me know what you had to do. Take some pictures if you can. That would help me a lot.

i have a carbon fiber style one that i got off ebay. Had to do a little grinding to get it to clear the hood, but fits fine now.
