This is why you don't daily drive a boosted J-body.... They are nothing more than a toy, and you have a back up ride that stock and reliable. The more you modify something the less reliable it becomes. YOU out of all people should know this by now.
Sorry Phil, but you need to get your priorities in a row and think about things before jumping the gun anymore with anything. Need before wants.
I miss my cavalier on nice days, but then remember all the @!#$ headaches and am glad that pile of @!#$ is gone. Stock TB and brand new boat... life is simple and fun.
i wanted to sell it all and keep my car as a lo and slow DD and get a bike for fun, but everyone kept egging me on so I did it, and I knew this is where I'd end up. Shoulda listened to my gut

You should have gotten a M62 instead. No major problems, just little annoyances.

What are the rules on buying a used clutch? You'd need a new flywheel (or resurfaced) right, or it may slip? I know 1200 miles is not a lot, but how would it mate to a 92k mile old flywheel?
you would want a resurfaced flywheel. any time i ever do a clutch i have new or resurfaced flywheel
i was instructed by a few trans shops to just scuff it real well with 400 sandpaper since the clutch is hardly broken in

peer pressure is a bitch aint it. should have just kept building your pile until you were actually ready to put it in. that way you could have saved some head aches and had some time to search for a beater somewhere for cheap. but hey man sorry this is the way it turned out
oh my pile was complete, I just wasn't 100% i wanted to put it on

I daily drove mine for two years, even in the snow
But having a car to use as backup is important.
And ya, you deff shouldn't have turbo'd it cause everyone else said to. Mod your car for you & only you, you should know this by now. Modding a car is for your passion for doing it and to make it your own, not to get appraisal from everyone else. It's too expensive of a hobby for that. People that do, do that, are stupid. Like this kid I heard at my last job, while he was on the phone talking about chrome versus black aftermarket headlights
"I asked everyone on the forum what they thought, they said to go with the chrome, which sucks cause I wanted the black ones. I guess im getting the chrome ones".
No really, Cody, tell us how you feel! Lol...
