well i have been on J-Body for a while and i have never started a progress thread, but i figured since im actually doing something worth talking about this time i will start one. I know it may not be in everyones taste so constructive critsizm is ok, please just keep it mature. My car is my personal project almost everything that was ever done to it i did myself. it was my way of seeing what i ended up with after i put all my car knowledge into something, its still a work in progress, and im learning a lot from the guys here on j-body and from the guys over a quad4forums, I couldnt have gotten this far without some of your help

I have a 1995 2.3 Z24 that i bought abotu 4 years ago

well here is a list of what is done tot he car now

Exterior
Drift body kit with molded side skirts, molded into the fenders and quarters, they have been molded for 3 years and no cracks, i did it the right way
vertical doors lambo door kit
custom paint, 2 coats of HOK atomic silver, then four coats of red, 2 pearl coats, and four coats of HOK clear, (the extra coats of clear was so that i could wetsand it flat afterwards
konig 17in rims
m3 style carbon fiber mirrors
projector headlights with HID's and L.E.Ds
Red street glow underbody kit and underbody strobe kit (car show stuff)
carbon fiber tails
15% tint
OEM carbon fiber hood
shaved atennae(i think i spelled that wrong lol)

Interior
Full custom upholstered interior red and black suede with embriodery
black carpet
triple gauge pillar pod
momo pedals,
shift knob and shifter

Audio and video
kenwood in-dash 7in dvd player
2 12in earthquake tremors 1250w in a ported box
1000 rms Xtant amp
poineer 6x9s
pioneer door speakers

this is somewhat what it looks like for now







OK so now on to the part worth talking about.
after having fun with a boosted car for a little bit i decided it wasnt enough, so here is the new build

1993 Acheiva SCX block, the block was milled, honed, cleaned, painted silver and bored .020 over
wiseco forged pistons 8.5:1 cr reverse dome and valve pockets
eagle h beam rods that were rebalanced
new crank, and oil pump drive gear with clevite bearings
h.o cams modified to work with the 95+ style ps pump
turbonetics super 60 turbo
086 head, still trying to decide if i want to port and polish it
750 cc injectors
3 in exhaust
H.O intake manifold
catch can
coil conversion, with msd coils
ARP head studs
fel-pro complete gasket set
Ngk TR-8's

hopefully after the new motor is built and tuned, i will hopefully be able to put down about 400whp but thats a hope right now, here are some pics of the new parts, also the new motor is being built by draftinwithjr from quad4forums.com he also supplied a lot of the parts

lol whats up wayne, yeah those are all a few years old and yes i live in northeast philly, i dont really race on the streets any more, since i have something that might be track worthy i will keep it there now, i cant wait until its all together so i can go out to atco or englishtown.

well after its all put together, tuned, broken in and dynoed im going right to the track, im really curious as to what its capable of doing, any serious guesses

got a few more parts now, i also got the crank and a set of vibrant strut bars, so the bottom end should be assembled some time next week, and the motor should be complete and in the within the next two weeks hopefylly, so stay tuned, i will update this thread this week with pics of the block, rods, pistons, and crank all assembled.



here are the eagle rods before they were balanced

a pic on the dyno, the front bumper wouldnt fit over the rollers







this was the engine bay before i could clean it up, vacuum lines everywhere
