So this morning I walked out to my car to find out that someone broke into it last night. They stole my subs, sub box, the amp, the headunit and a new tool set I just got for my birthday. In the process of stealing the headunit they destroyed my dash bezel as well. My first question is how the hell did they get in my car since it was locked? No windows were broken and only the driver side door was unlocked when I went to get in this morning. Second, I filed a claim with the insurance but what should I expect to receive back from them. The car is covered with comprehensive.

depends on your insurance, but comprehensive should cover all that @!#$. sux to hear, my wifes $400 window got busted out to steal her $100 gps, that they got caught for pawning it for $15 at a local store.

They probably slim jimmed your door....not hard to do. but you should recieve a check for everything, hopefully you have some type of proof of what you had in there.

Micah - I see you're in berks county. Any chance you're in the sinking spring/west lawn area? there was a massive robbery spree in that area recently. My buddy has his ipod cables stolen, but they left his tools . Hmm 25$ ipod cable or ~ 300$ in tools. People can't even rob you right...

No I'm not from that area. I'm around the Fleetwood, Kutztown, and Topton area. And yea I definitely know what ya mean about people not even robbing right because they took the subs but left behind the header for my car that was sitting in the trunk right next to the subs. Why wouldn't they just grab that too?

I'm supposed to hear back from the insurance today to see what will be covered and how much I will get for all this. I had some receipts so hopefully this turns out well for me.
