Does anyone know where there is any good speed shops around central pennsylvania? I'm looking at getting some work done, tuning, dyno, etc. And even possible sponsorships.
Any help will be appreciated.
join www.tristatetuners.com theres alot of shops on there that support the site and theres a section to ask the shops questions and stuff. should be easy to find a shop near you for what you need.
Thanks, i'll look into it.
From first glance though, it looks like its Philadelphia based, which is about 3 hours away.
Does anyone else know of any other sites?
As far as tuning, your not going to find any shops in central PA that specialize in anything GM. As far as dyno is concerned Innovative Motorworks in Carlisle is the best around. Sponsorships you can pretty much forget about in this market.
I can prob help you out in the tuning area. I'm really the only one I know of in central PA with HP tuners and experience with cavs

Thanks for the help.
I was thinking about buying one of those hp tuners, how hard are they to learn how to use?
Depends on your level of knowledge as far as tuning in general, two things pretty much, knowing what the car wants or needs, and then making the computer do it. One or the other is almost always easy its getting both thats the trick.

its not just philly based theres shops on there from out in pittsburg, down in maryland, and up in newyork. Primes an awsome guy too meet him like what 3 years ago when i traded Jew the sunfire hood for his 18s at the sat night meet. Off topic but do you guys still meet there?
there are a few shops that deal with GM, but its mostly LS1 cars/V8 stuff they do. none with HPtuners that ive seen

CBRD (Chad Block Race Design). Its on rt. 30 in york pa. Sterllar place to deal with. They mainly do evos, stis, and other high end cars. Check em out.
CBRD has zero experience with hp tuners, I doubt they would even work on a cav, I asked them to weld a bung on my downpipe for a wideband and they couldnt even do that.

yeah, finding someone with HPT expirience is the hardest part.
Finding someone with J-body expirience is even harder, most likely impossible at the speed shops.
about the only thing GM that CBRD would touch is a vette
