I'm in a team, here in Harrisonburg, and have members in NoVa, we are a newer team but you are more then welcome to join. The website is still going through maintenance but you can check it out. team-deviant.darkbb.com or check out myspace.com/t_deviant for more current info.

I'm not going anywhere just yet

honestly there arent too many "Teams" anymore... mainly you have car clubs.. at this point, team and club have been synonymous....

i'm pretty sure we've all but dropped the the word "Team" from Team Speedline as it was originially called in 1994... we migrated to Speedline Performance, then Speedline Elite, and finally Speedline Motorsports.

We are always accepting new members... but Speedline is not easy to get in to... the biggest thing to know about Speedline is that we're not "a crew", a crew is defined as a group of people who share the say enthusiasm but accept everyone and just hang out... we're a fully structured charitable car club that has minimum requirements to earn a decal.

depending on where you want to go with your car determines the requirements... (i know you listed your mods above, however it help if you had your car listed in your profile)

for example
If you are going straight performance, you'd need:
12.000 or faster quarter mile time
lowered
Clean paint Job
Presentable wheels
Clean/immaculate engine bay
Suspension and Brake mods to support the engine mods

If you are going Street Tuning (mild performance/mild show), you'd need:
13.999 or faster quarter mile time
Lowered
Clean Paint Job
Presentable Wheels (either aftermarket, or a stock rim thats been painted or powdercoated (in which must be approved by the president of the chapter))
Some sort of Lip Kit (body kits are ok, but not required) (The 04 LS Sport bumpers do count here)
Presentable Engine Bay
Immaculate interior

If you are going Mild Show (which is traditional Speedline), you'd need:
Lowered or Full Bodykit
if not bodykit, then at least a lip kit (The 04 LS Sport bumpers do count here)
clean paint job
Aftermarket Wheels 17" or bigger
presentable engine bay
immaculate interior
Some sort of trunk display

If you are going All Show (Which is Speedline Elite), you'd need:
Lowered or full Bodykit
widebody kit or fender flares
aftermarket wheels 17" or bigger
presentable engine bay
interior must be modified, Tvs must be installed throughout the car
the trunk must be fully custom...
Basically the car has to be ready to roll in to a high profile indoor show and be ready to take trophies... --- We have the means to do this... the owner of the club's son owns a full custom body shop and has been working on a lot of Pharell's dad's cars.

It would be up to you the direction you'd want to go, but you'd need to be on the path to getting there...

Both Straight Performance and Street tuning are considered "Speedline Performance" and are expected to support the show members at shows while making lots of trips to the track over the season.
Speedline and Speedline Elite are expected to support the race members at the track while making lots of shows throughout the year.

Street racing is not tolerated. We are an IRC.501(c)(7) non for profit social organization that throws several charity events benefiting CHKD hospital. Our big one each year is the car show we throw on July 4th at the VDOT parking lot behind Freedom Wash in Va Beach on independance and Holland. After the show we facilitate the lot for people wanting to see fireworks, and raise a lot of money for the charity. Our shows usually are loaded with vendors including a DJ, and Dropjaw (http://www.dropjawmag.com). And our shows are always covered by at least ECS Magazine and Dropjaw Magazine.

so hopefully i didnt scare you here... from the looks of your mods listed above, you'd fall under street tuning or mild show... If you are trying to go in one of those directions and still interested in joining, shoot me a PM (i check those daily, i check my email weekly) and i'll get you a meeting with leadership. Right now there are two chapters in the area... the traditional hampton roads chapter (which is primarily based in virginia beach) and the South Eastern VA chapter, which is primarily based in Chesapeake Square. I'm building the South Eastern VA chapter from the ground floor up and once its stable, i'm moving on to create another chapter elsewhere, as i'm shooting to be the field representative over all the mid-atlantic chapters in the group. We are trying to bring back national status (chapters in 3+ states), which is something we did 10 years ago, but has kinda fallen off over the years.

Basically for SEVA and HR Chapter, the main difference is the different meeting location. However SEVA has more leadership potential as the staff positions have not been fully filled.

Let me know if you're still interested!

well i would love to join yalls club kyle, but i have no idea what my car runs in the 1/4. it has decent exterior style though "no body kit and not lowered or anything though". i am going to go to petersburg this summer to va motorsports park and get some numbers on my car to see what it runs. but i am guessing it runs 14s. let me know whats up dude.

I never said "fast ass", nor did I mention street racing as none of us participate in such.

I don't do politics and stickers though, so my two-cents doesn't apply here.

i appreciate both of ya saying that...

its taken many years to get to this point, we've had our ups and downs and plenty of time for trial and error... i'm really happy the direction of the group lately.. I think we've been pretty good at avoiding the "stuck up" deal as well, ive seen it too though in other clubs and its just no fun talking to em.
