need someone with a tech 2 to unlock my stock radio. gm dealer "tried" using the pre 2000. OR is there some place else I can take it?

It WILL NOT WORK on a 2000+ radio. You need a dealer's Tech 2 diagnostic tool to re-sync the BCM to the radio. There is no other way around it, if your 2000+ radio is locked.

And yes, that number is a dealer's code. Don't get caught using it

my bad, my stock radios always end up on the shelf until the car goes.

good luck man, check with some of the J-BOM guys, I believe one of them had a tech 2 or at least access to one.

The dealer should have used their Tech 2.. takes 2 minutes, tops.
