I need a reliable/dependable car to get me to and from school. I don't want a project car or something I have to spend $500 to get on the road. Auto preferred. Won't go above $1500. Cash in hand. Post what you have, I'm in the detroit metro area. Thanks!
in that price range you can pick up some ancient hondas with around 150-175K and drive them into the ground.

For your price range you can buy a cavy that will blow up in 6 months

idk about that.
But either way 1500 isnt much but i have seen some decent rides go for around that. Check craigslist thats you best bet
also if buy a car for the price you have to expect to have to fix something on it soon, its just something you should plan for, ur not going to get flawless ride
good luck
go to craigslist. i bought my last winter beater on there its a 94 lumina 4 door loaded 210k on the 3.1 minor issues, but it ran for the winter and ile be driving it this winter
. oh and i payed $200 for it! I also bought my project sunfire on craigslist for $300. it was a minor front colission car and under 100k on the 2.2 and 5spd. Just look for deals and go beyond your area and you should find something.
i paid 1400 for my 97 cavi z24. all it needed was 2 new tires and a tie rod.
I bought my burb 2 1/2 yrs ago for aboot $1500 and just drove it from Imlay City, MI to Gatlinburg, TN and back.
You can get dependable and reliable but what do you want to spend on gas
would you be driving much over 70mph?? are you ok with using the tripometer instead of the gas gauge? how about the sound of not having a muffler?
if you can answer yes to these, I may be willing to sell ya my fire.

So you want a Honda Civic. Would have been made in East Liberty, Ohio. The new ones are made in Indiana.
