Sometime this summer i wanna drop in a getrag 5 speed into my 2.4 01. Havent ever taken on such a big job before, anyone maybe down for giving me a hand for a day? Some instruction? Maybe some local shops who would do it for dirt cheap?
Id much rather do it myseld, both to save money and learn, but im not sure i can wing this one. I just posted in the transmission forum asking for all the parts im gonna need for a complete swap. Check that out too?

there are only two guys there Jay or Brain there both very talented, put in a new trans after i blew mine for 250$ if your swaping for a different type of transmission i am sure they will give ya a good deal.
