HELP!!! 05 ecotec swap to a 97 2.2

ok, ive looked everywhere i could. to put a 05 ecotec into a 97! what has to be custom? where do i get it from? im new to this and dont know anybody around my area that has done it. actually nobody around here has done it. so come on. i need all the help i can get. could use a site where someone has done it and put it down step by step. if possible.

its a manual and i wouldnt quite say that im out of my league. just trying to get my ducks in a row!

youll need a donor car because you'll have to basically rewire your entire car with the electical from the 05

in short you are better off buying a 02 or 03-05 ecotec functional car and save millions and swap the front ends.

Well the big problem with having a manual is you're going to have to moch up your engine/tranny and then weld up your new rear tranny mount, the getreg mounts in a different location then your stock isuzu tranny. The overall project is not that hard it's just really long, if you need a how to then you probably shouldn't try. You strip your car bare and swap everything from the donor over just how it was. The only way I would recommend doing it is if you have another wrecked car to swap everything over, if not then it's going to be more of a PITA then it's worth.
