thats what sucks about small shows... they never seem to check with everyone on an available show date...
We have three shows coming up... (one im involved with as Versatile Designs, one im involved with as Speedline, and the last one im not involved with, just attending)
Aug 31 - CVC Charity Car show - Presented by Vdot, Sams Club, & Versatile Designs- INDOOR/OUTDOOR - Abandoned Lowes in Suffolk, VA (off 10/32) --- we've been working on the Lowes buiding to get it ready to be used for indoor show parking
Sept 1 - End of Summer Super Bash - Presented by Seven City Scions and Speedline - OUTDOOR - Chesapeake City Park (off Greenbrier)
November 8 - Neighborhood Block Party - Presented by Neighborhood Dreamz - OUTDOOR - Northeast Drag way - Hertford. NC
All three shows are listed on Dropjaw's calendar and we've yet to see any big local opposing shows.
EDIT: There's also Freak Show I'm planning on attending... but its an established show by Drop Jaw.

that sucks....
Virginia sucks when it comes to throwing shows because of all the laws and red tape to throw a really good show... so we have a bit of a better schedule as to throwing shows..
the general rules to throwing a show in this part of Virginia are...
1) Don't schedule on the same date as Nopi Nationals (Atlanta)
2) Don't schedule on the same date as NOPI Petersburg (VA)
3) Don't schedule on the same date as NOPI Budds Creek (MD)
4) Don't schedule on the same date as Dropjaw (in VA or in NC)
5) Don't schedule on the same date as HIN/Funk Master Flex/Dubs. (VA/MD/NC/NJ/SC)
--EXCEPT HIN Chantilly VA... cause that show sucks so much dick.
6) If you own a J-Body - dont schedule on the same date as the Bash.
7) Outdoor shows work best in a field... but if you have to do it in a parking lot, use one on a main street, and don't expect too many people to be there... (shows i attend have 500 + cars)
8) Indoor shows work the best over all in Virginia. You get your higher dollar cars out, and can charge more per show entry. which produces more revenue for your charity.
9) North Carolina is the place for non-charity party shows. If you aren't planning on having girls get naked, its not a party show... if its non-charity, don't expect too many people to show up.

that should make scheduling allot easier since nopi isn't doing shows now.
