Ecotec block for sale 16k miles, Cheap!
Sunday, April 20, 2008 10:17 AM
I have an Eco block that broke the timing chain at 16k miles. The valves went into the pistons, and the head got a little nicked up. I am sure that the rest of the block, excluding the pistons, is still good. The bearings don't have any visible marks.

If anyone wants to pick it up I would take $50. I need to use my engine stand for my T-bird 2.3 turbo motor, so if no one wants the Eco, I will just take her to the junker.

I am thinking I will get about $50 for it at a junkyard, does that sound about right? I am not trying to make any more money than I would get at the Junkyard.

If there's any interest, I'll go snap some pics.

I forgot to add, it comes with water pump, timing gears, timing chain and tensioner, crank sensor, knock sensor, oil filter cap, and the black plastic thing that says Ecotec 2.2. I think thats it.

No valve cover, oil pan, throttle body, intake manifold, map sensor, or ign. module.
